CHAPTER 5

Morning.

I woke up early and immediately went to my room with Pia to take a shower. The lump on my forehead is almost gone so I can go in now. After I finished taking a shower, I immediately went to the mirror and looked cute.

I knotted my navel and immediately left the room. I was in complete uniform today while walking in the garden. I picked a color red rose and smelled the fragrance.

I'm just smiling now while smelling the rose. I went to a long wooden chair in the distance. I sat there while still holding the rose and looking at it. I was stunned when I heard a voice from my side.

“I know it's not allowed to pick flowers in the garden.”

Set, who was sitting on my right, said with a laugh. I looked at him straight in the eyes but he had no reaction. “Oh, I guess you love it.”He continued then leave, dahil natalo ko siya sa tingin lang.

I'm going to the senior high room now. I was now opposite the Dangerous Forest so I looked there. It's really dark. It was as if I was deaf to hear the screams of women in the distance so I looked there.

I saw two groups, Jazz and Set's group. They were going to the room of the senior high, followed by those who were watching, so I followed them to the room.

When I entered the room, they were all seated and looking at me except kay Jazz. I looked at the beautiful girl who is in front now and sitting in the teacher's chair.

I think she is our teacher. She seems to be twenty plus years old. She was just looking at me while I was standing at the door. “Miss Young?”she called me so I came to my senses.

“W-what?”I asked nervously. “Do you have a problem? You can sit right now.” she replied calmly so I smiled and went to the empty seat next to— Jazz.

I sat there and simply looked at him while he was seriously listening to our teacher. “Okay class tommorow I need to see your magical abilities to be ready for the game that will be made next week.” our teacher seriously say that I was surprised.

“Ma'am!.”I called and raised my hand so she looked at me and the other students. “Yes Miss Young?” Ma'am answered so I stood up before speaking. “What's the game?” I asked in surprise so she smiled.

“Didn't Mr. Clinton tell you that?” Ma'am asked in surprise so I shook my head. “Ah that game is to enter the Dangerous Forest. That's by group! The group that wins that game will be the one to fight against other schools.” Ma'am replied with a smile so I smiled and sat down.

Dangerous Forest?

Isn't it dangerous there? Pero name palang parang nakaka-takot na.

Why is it necessary to complete the game that Ma'am is talking about? “Miss Young.”Ma'am called so I came to my senses and looked at her.

“Do you know your group mates?” Ma'am question was so serious that I immediately shook my head. “Your group mates are,” And took the note book placed on her desk.

“Jazz Clinton, Set Clinton, Pia Grey, Lian Sem, Rex Alford and Findy Pill. They are your group mates in the game. If all the students are given training then you should improve.” she added with a smile. Pia is my group mate yes!—

Wait Set Clinton?

Is it really Clinton or am I just deaf?

If he is also Clinton, so kaano-ano niya si Jazz?

Ma'am was just talking word by word in front while I wasn't listening because the only thing on my mind was how Jazz and Set would be.

“That game is dangerous for people like you, so those who don't want to join,then leave.” Ma'am continued but no one objected.“Your skills and abilities will be tested,” she continued.

Don't we have other subjects to study or talk about.And they only teach about history once in a while. “In the dark Dangerous Forest,there are wild animals,and the enemies who were captured are imprisoned there,so you can fight them inside the forest.”

Ma'am continued. So wild animals and captured enemies are the ones we will fight in the jungle itself.

What if we perish?

“The game that will be held has a time limit. You spend thirty minutes inside that jungle. When you enter the jungle, there will be a barrier so no one can get out until the battle is over. Stay strong in this game. And I'm sure the ones they choose to fight in other famous schools are the ones who don't have serious wounds.” she added.

Palagi ba nila ito ginagawa noon?

It's really durable. So you can die there. Of course there are wild animals and then there are the captured enemies. But I'm sure sanay na ang iba sa ganito.

“Miss Glee do we have trainers?” One of my classmates asked. “Yes, of course. But the trainer will not enter the forest kung hindi kayo lang.” she answered.

“Who is our trainer Miss Glee?”The person next to him asked. “Tomorrow, another teacher will come here to our room to see your abilities and to choose a group they want to train. But if you ask me, I have already chosen a group, Jazz's group. But I don't know who my trainer partner is.”

Miss Glee answered. “You will know tomorrow.” she added and stood up from her chair. “Okay, I'll see you in class tomorrow. You can train if you want,” Miss Glee continued and took the bag and left the room.

I looked at Jazz who was next to me and Set who was in the other seat next to Pia. I looked at them carefully to see if they looked alike, but only a little.

“Jazz, kapatid moba si Set?” I asked curiously but he didn't say a word and just bowed. Pia came to me and sat in front of me.

“Yes.” I say because I remembered kasama ko si Pia sa group “Hacashi, is the lump on your forehead okay?”she asked while looking at my forehead.

Is it still obvious? I thought it wasn't. Jazz looked at me when Pia asked that question but he immediately looked away and looked at the ceiling and closed her eyes.

“Okay.” I answered and smiled. “It's good. Jazz, do we have training today?”she asked Jazz but Jazz didn't say anything. I looked at our other classmates who were leaving the room for training.

I realized when Set came to us. “Hey pinsan let's go to training!” He called Jazz so loudly that he woke up and seriously looked at Set. So they are cousins.

Before, hindi ko na-isip na mag pinsan sila , but I thought they were brothers. “Just kidding.” Set immediately recovered when he saw that Jazz was annoyed.

A woman approached us again and was smiling. “Hi Jazz, Set, Lian and Rex, I'm Findy Pill.”she smiled when she introduced herself and reached out his hand in the middle but no one took it, so she just removed it and smiled.

She is one of our group mates in the game. “We complete.” Lian said so Jazz stood up and went straight to the door. There was nothing we could do,so we followed him.

  Jazz is angry?

Pia held my hand as we walked behind Jazz. Is she afraid of Jazz or of Set.
