"Oh geez" she tried to remove all her fixed things from her bag. "I thought I was done for tonight!"

"Doc Salonga, excuse me...but we really need you in the ER." It was Lallysa, one of the chemotherapy nurses entered her on-call room.

"They're paging me for what? Is that my patient?"

"No doc"

They ran in the empty hallway, rushed themselves on the way to the elevator. Lea panicky sprinted as she sees the elevator closing.

"Oh no! Noooooo"

—it almost closed but Lea gained all her strength to be able to reach the elevator before it was completely closed.

"Lally, are you with me?"

"Yes doc"

"You seem to be quiet, may I know why?"

Lally gulped because of that interrogation from Doctor Salonga. She doesn't know how to say it. She doesn't know the right words to use.

"Lallysa!" Lea almost screamed, it's a good thing that there are no other people inside.

"Doc, sorry po. Ano po ulit 'yon?"

"Patient's name"

Elevator dings....

Floor 10

"F-Felix"

Lea was frozen in her position.

"Come again?"

"Felix, Ethereal..."

Lea aggressively pressed the elevator panel to ground floor.

"Damn this elevator!!!"

"D-Doc..."

Elevator opens....

Lea ran as fast as she could.

They reached the busy ER. She roamed the area and then she checked every ward, but her best friend is not there.

"David!!!" Lea called one of the ER nurses, "Ethereal Felix, where is she?!"

"D-Doc Salonga...." there was an evident that the nurse is anxious because of her presence, "S-she's in the triage-2."

"Still in the triage?! What's wrong with you, people?!"

She rushed outside, on the way to the triage-2. Lally and David was following her, both very edgy about the circumstance.

"Doc Fabregas checked already" David stated but Lea didn't even bother to reply.

They reached the triage, she found Ether lying down on the cot..........unconscious.

"Oh God" she says, "Bring her inside!"

Together, Lally and David pushed the cot outside the triage-2. Lea then helped them push her bed. She was already tearing up, her tears are consistently falling.

"Who rushed her?!"

"Herself" David replied

"We already checked her lab test, we requested an urgent response." Lally handed the CBC results, "Doc, it's quite different."

Lea's eyes widened upon seeing the results.

"Prepare her for MRI"

Lea went closer to Ethereal, she caressed her neck and she felt two swollen lymph nodes.

"Cancer....." she says weakly.
