ɪɴɪᴢɪᴏ ᴅᴇʟ ᴄᴀᴘɪᴛᴏʟᴏ

Lea just finished her clinic duty, and now she's already in the hospital to visit and check Ethereal and her other patients. It's half midnight and she is already exhausted. Before going to Ether's room, she makes sure to call Dawn first for updates about them. She dialed her number and after a few rings, Dawn already picked up the phone.

"Hi, Lei! Saan ka na?" Dawn asked immediately after answering the call. Her voice is chill so Lea assumed that everything's fine.

"Kakalabas ko lang ng elevator. How's Ether?"

"Oh, she's good, medyo masakit lang ang tiyan. Oh! Before I forget, naubos na kasi ang Ondansetron niya. May gamot na kanina na ininsert sa dextrose pero let's make sure for emergency nausea, diba?" Dawn told her.

Lea chuckled, "Yes, you are right, Doc!" She teased her.

"Don't even start, Carmen! Baka mamaya pagsisihan ko na I took Architecture." Dawn also giggled.

"Don't, you chose the perfect course for you." She beams, "Papunta na ako, dadaan lang ako sa Nurse Station so they can contact the Pharmacy." She said before ending the call.

Wearing her white coat, her stethoscope on her neck and her Fendi bag on her shoulder, she walked into the quiet hallway on the way to the Nurse Station. She was a bit startled because no one's there. She glanced at her wrist watch; it's already 7pm. The Nurses must be having their dinner.

She pressed the bell three times and after just a few seconds, a male nurse went out of the Nurse Room. He was a bit startled to see who's infront of him.

"Doc. Salonga.." that's the only words that escaped from his mouth.

"I guess you're having your dinner." She smiled as she raises her brow which caused intimidation to the nurse.

The nurse nodded, "Y-Yes po, pero what can we do f-for you po?" He asked quivering.

Lea was about to answer but the other nurses went out of the room. They were all shocked to see Lea infront of their table and they are quite shy knowing about what Doctor Ian told them this morning.

"Good evening, doktora." They all greeted.

"Good evening. Can you please contact the Pharmacy for me? My patient needs ondan, make it three."

"Okay po, doktora" A female nurse said as she started to dial the Pharmacy.

"Uh, doc. Sorry po for the inconvenience earlier." The head nurse apologized, "We'll make it up to you soon! Congrats po pala for the award you recieved."

Lea smiled, "Thank you, Elizabeth. And I just hope you guys learned your lesson. Always remember this, prioritize our patients. Always be alert especially when it comes to phone calls."

She knows Elizabeth since then. When she was starting her residency, Elizabeth is already a nurse but she was a newbie that time. So, she's one of the people who saw how hardworking and dedicated Lea is to her passion.

"Okay po, doc." She chuckled hearing Ian's voice from behind.

"You startled me." Lea said while shaking her head. The nurses started to smile because they felt kilig. Ian told them about how he courted Lea way back then although they do not the full story.

"Sorry." Ian chuckles, "Why are you here?"

"Bawal ba?" Lea asked sarcastically.
