This is the love story of two jounin senseis named Asuma Sarutobi, the son of Sandaime Hokage and the sensei of Team 10, together with Kurenai Yuhi, the sensei of Team 9.

It was 2 years into the future, Asuma is 21 and Kurenai is 20. Ever since the day they have escaped the clutches of Kurenai's father's arranged marriage, they've been living at Kumogakure no Sato, or the Hidden Cloud Village. Hiruzen is aware of this, and because he have adored his son's relationship, he didn't mark his son as a missing nin, and just labeled the couple as "IN A SEVERAL-YEAR MISSION". He knew this was a bit too much, but he also felt pity of the young girl being in an arranged marriage.
But just because of the situation, Asuma still wanted to continue being a ninja, and so does Kurenai. So they agreed of being affiliated as a part-time Kumo ninja and going on ninja missions.
It was another normal day at Kumogakure.
At Asuma's house, Kumogakure no Sato 11:30 am
Asuma: Babe?
Kurenai: Yes? I'm down here.
Asuma: Mmmm that smells delicious.
Kurenai: Of course it does.
Asuma: So uh, I wanted to ask you...
Kurenai: What is it?
Asuma: Well I was curious if you're.....okay with everything. Everything that's going on.
Kurenai: Of course I am why wouldn't I be? I'm happy here with you.
Asuma: Seems like you're contented, but do you want changes?
Kurenai: And what changes would I want?
Asuma: Aren't you bored living like this for the past consecutive years? Hiding our real identity here at Kumo as we are originally Konoha nins?
Kurenai: Well what do you suggest? As long as we're safe here I'm fine with it. I do miss our comrades back at Konoha....
Asuma: Hm. Do you want me to spy at Konoha?
Kurenai: What for?
Asuma: To know your family's status.
Kurenai: I would really like that. But what if you get caught? Hiruzen-san told everyone that we're in a long term mission.
Asuma: I'll be careful. Besides you wanna be back at Konoha right? Aren't you homesick?
Kurenai: Fine you win. But be extra careful okay?
Asuma: Of course I will.
Kurenai: Are you going to do it today?
Asuma: Yeah, after I taste your cooking.
Kurenai: Alright alright let's eat first.
-In the afternoon- 1:15 pm
The couple is at the door, Kurenai checking on Asuma.
Kurenai: Alright do you have everything?
Asuma: Yes....but I forgot something important.
Kurenai rounds her eyes.
*kiss*
Kurenai: Okay now go, don't you dare come back injured.
Asuma: Yes boss.
Asuma flees Kumo and heads to Konoha.

Asuma took the route of sailing at the sea back to Konoha. He wants to avoid contact with people as possible. After 2 days of his journey, he reaches Konoha's gates, but enters above the village's walls.
He observes in the shadows and gets startled by a known figure behind his back. He sighs in relief.
Asuma: Oh Kakashi you've probably scared me to death.
Kakashi: Hmm sorry about that. I didn't know you're back.
Asuma: I'm not. *sigh* Let's talk about it outside of the gates. Come on.
They got outside of Konoha, a bit further from the gates making sure no one will hear their conversation.
Kakashi: So?
Asuma: My tou-chan told everyone that we were on a mission right?
Kakashi: Yeah.
Asuma: Well remember Kurenai's arranged marriage?
Kakashi: Mhm.
Asuma: My dad just brought that up so we could escape....
Kakashi: I see. I understand. But why are you here then?
Asuma: Kurenai requested me to check on her parents, she really wants to go home.
Kakashi: Ah. Alright.
Asuma: Look. I only told this to ya, could you be the one to spread it to our comrades? Just our comrades, please.
