Kurenai: We love each other dad. We're in a relationship.
Kurenai's dad: Well, I demand you to break up with him now.

Kurenai storms off outside the house and goes to the lake her and Asuma would usually meet up.

Iruka happens to walk by the lake and hears someone crying.
Iruka pov: Huh? Who could that be?
Iruka came closer by the lake to see Kurenai weeping.
Iruka: K-kurenai?
Kurenai hears him and quickly wipes off her tears.
Kurenai: O-oh hi there Iruka.
Iruka: You can talk to me you know?
Kurenai: W-whatever do you mean?
Iruka: You knew exactly what I mean.
Kurenai breathes and finally gives up.
Kurenai: Fine. Sit down.
-After explaining-
Iruka: That's awful. I'm sorry for asking.
Kurenai: It's alright.
Iruka: Well, if you're not ready to go back home, you could stay at my place. Friendly gesture.
Kurenai: Well what about your parents?
Iruka: My parents died during the Second Shinobi War. So I live alone.
Kurenai: Oh I'm sorry, but do you really don't mind?
