They were walking through the hospital hallway after signing some papers for Shinso. "I've always been an only child and I don't have the best childhood to know what it's like to raise one," Emi uttered to Aizawa who simply hummed in understanding-she wondered if he's actually listening, "and it's clear he's hiding something, I wonder what did I do to make him so uncomfortable."

Aizawa rolled his eyes without bothering to look at her, his hands tucked to his pocket, "Is that your way of making me praise you? Tell you that you're doing all great? Cause it's working." Emi grinned, "Partly, yeah."

Eventually they reached the Fukukado household. Emi turned her head back, looking at the boy with a welcoming smile, "I hope you don't mind cats, and my dad-he's a lot like this grumpy man but I'm sure he'll like you."

Aizawa's eyes slightly widen as he cleared his throat, grateful that he didn't choke. Cats? He thought.

"I like cats," Shinso muttered from the back seat, looking down. Emi's smile grew wider, "Really? That's great then, we should get going, Mr. Eraserhead is past his sleep schedule."

Shinso nodded, making his way out of the car as his eyes wander around the building. He hate to admit it but Aizawa was slightly dissapointed that Emi didn't ask him to visit. How is he supposed to see the cat?

Emi pushed the door open and stood to thank Aizawa who simply hummed from the driver seat. Soon after, Aizawa left, leaving Shinso and Emi in a comfortable silence.

Emi pushed the entrance door after knocking a couple times. She told her dad that she'd bring a boy to live with them for some time, he was excited, far too excited than she anticipated. She hope it doesn't scare Shinso.

"Make yourself at home," Emi uttered, "it's basically your home now."

Shinso slowly entered, his eyes still wandering around, mesmerized. Home? He couldn't remember the last time he had one. That villain Emi and Aizawa caught wasn't actually his dad, but being with him for too long made him think that way, made his consider the man one.

It's warm, He thought, taking a deep breath. There was this delicious smell from somewhere, he didn't realize how hungry he was until then. Shinso assumed that it was Emi's dad cooking, he wondered if he'll let him eat too.

"Dad we're home!" Emi uttered. "Welcome back," they heard a voice said. A few moments later, they settled on the couch. Emi turned on the television playing some superhero cartoon hoping that's the type of thing Shinso enjoy watching.

An old man appeared before Shinso before he even knew, crouching in front of him. Emi sighed as he facepalmed, she forgot to remind him not to scare the boy like that. "You must be Toshi, nice to meet you," he uttered, smiling much like Emi's, "My name is Taki Fukukado."

"Thank you for having me," Shinso muttered.

"You must be hungry, let's eat," Taki uttered with a heartwarming smile. Shinso turned a faint smile, "Thank you, oji-chan (grandpa)."

The seafoam haired man blushed as they all made their way to the dining table. He whispered to Emi, "I can't believe I have a grandchild," then laughed like some typical Fukukado.

They quietly but comfortably eat the food before them, Emi throwing small talks at times but not enough to push the boy to the edge, actually, it was quite pleasing, Shinso hadn't have actual conversation for a while.

After doing the dishes, Emi lead Shinso to his room. The boy walking hesitantly behind her with his eyes still wandering around. They stopped before a door, "This will be your room," Emi uttered, "it's pretty much still empty since I suppose it'd be better to decorate it based of your liking. We should go shopping tomorrow, maybe then-"

"This is more than enough, thank you very much, sorry for troubling you," the lavendernette cut her off. "No, you're not troubling anyone," Emi uttered, "Anyway, you must be tired, you should rest up. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask my dad, I will be out for a while."
