The bell rang as the seafoam-haired entered the bar causing Tooru-the bartender to immediately turn his eyes at it to find Emi making her way to him. Earlier that night came Aizawa who's now sitting before him, chugging on his drink not bothering to find out who the newcomer is.
"Emi-chan, it's been a while." That's when Aizawa knew it was his partner coming. Well, she did mention visiting Tooru earlier, but after everything that happened that day he thought she wouldn't make it. Emi casually took the seat beside him, "Hey, Eraser," she uttered, crossing her hands on the table. "Joke," Aizawa uttered.
Both heroes heard giggling so they turned their eyes at the only person around-Tooru. Glancing at him. "See? I knew you'll get along somehow," he uttered, "the last time both of you were here you were throwing sarcastic words at each other."
"I wonder if you're still willing to burn the license away," Tooru continued, "but I think not-" Before he even knew, Emi's eyes gleamed, "Have you got anything?" she uttered in excitement. Aizawa glared at her with an eyebrow raised, confused. Tooru chuckled, "I thought so."
"There was this customer with a correction quirk," he started, "he can do it on papers, metals, or pretty much everything he encountered, he never tried it on a hero license though since as much as he knew no one's foolish enough to throw away the license they work out for so long," Emi rolled her eyes, "Anyway, even if he can't break the material, he could've deleted the words and picture printed in it then you can sell it out."
A wide smile appeared on her face as Tooru handed her a business card. She stared at it for a while, there written 'Ken Akaishi' which she assumed was the customer Tooru was talking about.
As the two heroes were heading out, Aizawa uttered, "Why do you hate it so much?" Emi raised her eyebrows confused then rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly, "I just felt like it needs to be done, I don't need it anyway."
"Are you planning on quitting your hero career?" the raven-haired hero stopped and so did Emi. She sighed, "I wish!"
Aizawa hummed and nodded, his hands tucked into his pocket as they walk further to the street. "You're...an exceptional hero," Aizawa muttered, "although I don't care one bit if you decide to quit, do as you wish."
Emi giggled, turning her gleaming eyes at him, "Did I just hear a compliment? I can't believe this! Can you please repeat that?" she shouted. The road was rather quiet, so it's quite embarrassing to have someone yelling around beside him. Aizawa squinted his eyes, annoyed, "I change my mind."
"Aw, come on! I know you're starting to change how to think about me! I'm pretty cool, right?" Emi uttered, walking backward, facing the raven-haired hero. Aizawa shrugged, "whatever." Emi chuckled quietly.
"Do you want to get something to eat? I know a 24-hour ramen shop not far from here! It's to die for!" The seafoam-haired women uttered excitedly. "Sure-" before Aizawa gets to say any more words, Emi yelled, "follow me!" and starts running away.
Aizawa stared and shook his head in disbelief, before running after her. How can someone so peculiar exist in this world he's been living in? Is she even the same surprisingly talented person as the hero he worked with?
...
They stopped in front of a small ramen shop by the street. It looks warm with the steam from the cooking activity. Emi was standing there trying to catch her breath, bent over with her hands on her knees, while Aizawa casually stood there like it was nothing-besides, he had the binding cloth which helps speed him up.
Eventually, they picked a table and ordered two bowls of beef ramen based on Emi's recommendation. "I guess this is our first date," Emi uttered. Aizawa's who was slurping his ramen in peace almost choke to his death, finding that word very inappropriate, but decided to play along. "I guess it is," the raven-haired hero uttered.
Emi's eyes widen in surprise. She was just teasing him, thinking she knew exactly what his response was going to be. For some reason, the seafoam-hero blushed and covered it up as she chugged a massive amount of water.
Aizawa smirked and chuckled a bit, "I'm kidding."
