Chapter 4

Later in Knothole Village at night, Sally was sitting on top of the roof of her hut while thinking to herself, "What will Alex say? How did he really get here?" Alex was floating behind Sally and he smiles, "You're about to find out pretty soon." Sally gets startled and turns around and she giggles in embarrassment, "You like making entrances don't you?" Alex smiles and shrugs, "I have a talent for it, ready?" Sally nods hesitantly and Alex smiles, "Great, hold on tight."

Alex wraps an arm around Sally's waist and holds onto her and she looks at him in confusion, "What are you-" Before Sally could finish her sentence Alex flies into the air and she screams from being startled, "Doing?!" Alex flies slowly and high in the air while Sally is scared and starts to close her eyes with her hands. Alex gently removes Sally's hands from her eyes as a way of putting her at ease and she opens her eyes and looks around in amazement as she feels the wind blowing through her fur. Alex smiles and wags his tail, "What do you think?"

Sally smiles and looks at Alex, "This is amazing!" Alex smiles and wags his tail, "Wanna see how it really feels to fly?" Sally nods and Alex slowly loosens his grip on her and is now just holding her hand. Sally smiles and looks around then at Alex as she is high in the sky and thinks to herself, "Can you read my mind? Do you know what it is that you do to me? I don't know who you are. Just a friend from another star. Here I am, like a kid out of school. Holding hands with a god. I'm a fool. Will you look at me? Quivering. Like a little girl, shivering. You can see right through me. Can you read my mind? Can you picture the things I'm thinking of? Wondering why you are all the wonderful things you are. You can fly. You belong in the sky. You and I could belong to each other. If you need a friend, I'm the one to fly to. If you need to be loved, here I am. Read my mind." Alex and Sally fly past various areas such as Mercy City, Station Square, and soon they land on Angel Island.

Alex lands on the beach of the island and Sally smiles and wags her little tail, "That was amazing." Alex smiles and wags his tail, "Glad to hear, so you want to know my origin huh?" Sally nods and Alex sighs and looks down, "I was created by an alien race called the Borchna, I was used to annihilate planets of all life so they can conquer those planets with ease. It all changed when I saw a child crying for his dead parents, it broke my heart. I decided to escape from the Borchna and came to Mobius to be a superhero. I still regret all the trillions of people I killed on countless planets." Alex tears up and starts crying and Sally was shocked as she then quickly hugs him tightly, "You poor thing, it's okay." Alex looks at Sally and continues crying, "It's not okay, I'm a fucking monster."

Sally gently pets Alex, "You didn't know what you were doing, you were just following orders. What matters is you had a change of heart." Alex purrs and slowly calms down, "You're right, thank you so much." Sally smiles, "You're welcome." Alex thinks for a second, "So, what do you think would make a good superhero name?" Sally thinks and smiles, "How about the Fearless Fox?"

Alex smiles and wags his tail, "I like it."
