That song. I know it. 'Through the trees.'
The band... they're fucking satanists. One of my ex friends were in the band and left because of the amount of rituals that were performed after shows. They would kill innocent people, typically virgins and just sacrifice them I guess. They're fucking creeps. I'm gonna need to get Jennifer away from them but she doesn't like me. Oh fucking hell, I don't know what to do.

He is acquainted with Jen and she'll listen to him hopefully. I take out my phone and dial his number.

"Hello? Are you alright?"
"I need your help, you need to come in here and persuade Jennifer to get the hell out."
"Woah. Slow down. What's exactly going on?"
I hesitate and look up at the stage, Jennifer was right at the front. I'm worried like hell.
"There's this band called Low Shoulder and they're completely bad news. They're fucking satanists, right! And Jen is all for them. She doesn't particularly like me because of the outfit I chose and that's kinda what I wanted to happen, but now I just need your help."
Colin exhaled.
"Right. I'll come in and grab Jennifer, I'll let her know and I'll take her home. You stay there and I'll come back for you as quickly as possible."
"Thank you.."
"No problem"
The call ends and I become less tense. This 'new plan' needs to work otherwise Jennifer is Satan bait.

I keep my eye on the front door of the bar and surely enough, Colin walks in. Immediately he makes eye contact with me and I nod. I motion my head to where Jennifer is stood and he makes a beeline over to her. I watch as Jen turns around and Colin takes her hand. It looks like he mouthed the words, "you need to get out of here." She seems to be listening very closely to his words and luckily, she nods. I keep watch of them as they both walk out. As soon as they were out of my sights I look back at the band. They're still playing that dreaded song. I swear it's the only song they ever play.

The song ends and Nikolai thanks the audience. He picks up a girl from the stage floor and he leads her backstage. I even feel bad for whoever that is, she's fucking dead. I exhale and lean back in my seat, I kinda don't wanna stay in the same room as a group of satanists but at least I got the main priorities out of the way.
I look up and I see Nikolai walk back on stage. There's no one else on the stage floor anymore and he looks round the room. He wipes something off his face and then makes eye contact with me.
Fuck.
I immediately look down at the table and hope to Geesus (Gerard Way Jesus) that Nikolai did not see me.
"Hey.."
Shit he saw me.
I look up wearily. He kinda reminded me of this strange, twisted looking tree I saw when I was younger. Like you get that weird sensation that evil is around you. All around you.
"Hey... Nikolai."
"Would you like to meet me and the band backstage, it's pretty wild back there."
I take a deep breath and exhale.
"I appreciate the offer but unlike that girl you just took backstage, I wanna live at least one more day before you brutally murder me and offer me to Satan. And listen here, Satan is not your only hope there's other ways of making it big. Just come on dude, don't be that sick and twisted."
He just stood and stared at me for around 10 seconds before grabbing my collar and getting up in my face.
"You listen here, okay? How the fuck did you get that information, you some sort of CIA?"
Sort of CIA? Did he hear himself, he sounds like a kindergartener.
"No, Mr Wolf. I am not. Now can you please back the fuck away from me or I'll tell devil daddy that you haven't managed to get an actual virgin, therefore messing up his plans."
He let go of my collar and stood back. Still slightly in shock he rushed back to his band and they started packing up.

"Losers.."
"You can say that again."
I turned around hearing my favourite voice. Colin.
"I'm guessing you heard all that?"
He chuckled
"Yes I did, you really have a way with words."
I laugh at his insinuation.
"Alright yeah, go with that."
He smiles and takes my hand lifting me up out of my seat. We walked outside hand in hand and I spotted his car. Before I could get inside, he spun me round and leaned my back against the car. I look at him and try to do his signature half smile. He laughs. Clearly that wasn't right. He places an arm next to my head, leaning it against the car like I was and moves in for a kiss. Our lips meet and I wrap my arms around his neck. He pulls away and looks into my eyes, I look back.
"You could've just asked for a kiss instead of doing all that."
"No, I think you deserved it all for everything you've done today."
I chuckled and open the car door, whilst he sits down in the drivers seat and getting in gear. The radio turns on and before you know it, we were both singing along to Basket Case by Green Day.
After once again, singing completely off key we pull up outside my house. I look outside expecting to be at his house. Did he seriously forget what I said? I turn to him and he looked a little sad, he did forget!
"Hey! Why so sad? Remember what I said?"
He pauses to think and remembers that I said I would stay the night at his.
"Ohhh!"
He suddenly turns the car around and we make our way back to his house, singing along to Isle of Flightless birds by Twenty One Pilots.
Once we arrived at his house, all the lights were out. I assumed his parents had gone to sleep early, so as we exited the car and entered the house, we made sure we were as quiet as possible. We crept upstairs and when we got inside his room, we both sighed. Today was a hell of a long day. Took way too much energy out of me. I lay down on his bed and looked up at the ceiling.
"You were a great help today, Colin."
"Thanks. I'm glad to help any day."
He lay next to me and also looked up at the ceiling.
"Is this what you usually do?"
I nodded and turned to face him then buried my face into his neck.
He smiled and closed his eyes.

What a way to fall asleep, huh?
