Bonus Halloween Chapter

Disclaimer: This isn't a follow up chapter. I just wanted to do a bonus chapter relating to Halloween. I'll upload the actual next chapter soon, bare with me (:

Halloween is tonight and I still haven't got a costume. Usually I'd be planning since mid July but this year I hadn't a clue what I wanted to be. I'm guessing Jennifer was going to be something unbelievably slutty, revealing and offensive like sexy Hitler. I might ask Colin and see what his plans are, I bet he loves Halloween. He definitely seems like that type.
Buzz Buzz
My thoughts get intruded by a rather panicked message from Colin, speak of the devil. To sum it up, he also had no idea for a Halloween costume and just listed a bunch of costumes that we could try super last minute. Costumes like Corpse Bride characters, Nightmare before Christmas theme, and Sweeney Todd.
I sigh and flop onto my bed, my brain is empty and I really need to hurry up with a costume. Maybe I could just take a trip to Party Central and see if there's anything cheap in stock, if it's not all taken. I quickly sent Colin a text back saying I'll go out to the store and find something before Needy's Halloween party tonight then drop by his. I quickly dial a cab and get myself ready.

I arrive at Party Central and take a stroll down each aisle, everything's either really expensive, child size or cheap material. After about 10 minutes of pacing round the entire store I finally find a pair of two decent cat ear, I guess these will have to do. I'm definitely sure we both have black and white clothing so it's a good fit. I make my way to the front of the store and buy them, once again I order a cab and wait for it to arrive.

I almost arrive at Colin's home before sending him a message just letting him now I was almost there. I tell the cab driver to pull over outside his house and pay the amount necessary before picking up my bag and heading to the front of the house. I knock on the front door and almost immediately, it opens up. I see him stood there and he rushes me inside.
"Show me what you got!!"
"Okay, okay calm down. Get on a plain black outfit and meet me in the kitchen."

It didn't take him long to get ready as a minute had passed and I could already hear him rush back down the stairs. I was sat at the table, drinking some juice as he stood in the doorway.
"Is this all I need on?"
"Yes it is, now put these on."
I reach in the bag and pull out a pair of black and white cat ears.
He stares at them for a good few seconds. It's hard for me to tell how he feels about them. He slowly reaches out for them and puts them on his head. I hold my breath.
"Is this it..?"
"...Yes? What do you think."
"I am never wearing these again after tonight."
His face is completely straight, unlike his sexuality, and I let out a small chuckle.
"Come on, it's all I could find with so little time."
He nods and gets out his phone.
"Speaking of time we gotta get to Needy's place before there's no space to park outside her house"
"Oh yeah! Good thinking!"
I quickly throw on a leather jacket and we leave out the front door, making our way to his car. Once we're inside, I put on my cat ears which are white on black, the opposite of Colin's, and frantically scroll through my variety of songs. I choose to play Chelsea Smile by Bring Me The Horizon and we both scream the lyrics at the top of our lungs.

We arrive later at Needy's and the party is in full swing, everyone is dressed up and I was right about Jennifer's choice of clothing. There's very little of it and she barely looks like she's dressed up as anything. She told me she was a leopard, but the only leopard print thing she had was a small handbag. Needy and Chip had a couples costume and were dressed as Mario and Princess Peach. It was pretty decently put together. There were a few other people I recognised from school but I didn't know their names. Luckily Needy's mom was home so the amount of alcohol handed out wasn't much however a lot of people brought there own. Colin stuck by me all night and hardly ever left my side, it was quite comforting.

The party was drawing to a close as people were getting more and more tipsy. Needy and her mom were getting worried that something of theirs would get broken at this point, like a family ornament or vase so they were both pushing people out the door. I began to help and went round the entire house looking for people who had probably fell asleep somewhere. I managed to find someone who fell asleep in the bathtub and Colin helped me lift them out.
After some time, the only people left were me, Colin, Needy and her mom. I sighed and sat myself on her sofa, Colin sat himself next to me and I lay my head on his shoulder. I was absolutely exhausted from the amount of partying I had done, and from getting everyone out all at once. The house was quiet and all that could be heard was music from other people's houses on the street. It was like a wild mixture of The Monster Mash, Thriller and Spooky Scary Skeletons. Needy walks in and kindly asks us both to leave, and we do just that.
Once we're outside, I begin making my way to the car as usual but Colin stops me and grand my hand. I look at him questionably, and he brings me close to him.
"I've had a good night tonight.."
I smile and think about the time I've had.
"Yeah I agree, it's been great! And thank you for staying with me. I felt safe for once actually."
He raises his eyebrows.
"You don't usually feel safe?"
"No.. I've had a rough past, Colin. Like most people, shit happens. It's part of growing up, right?"
"Yeah I guess you're right."
He wraps his arms around me and looks into my eyes.
"You should always feel safe with me around."
"I do. You're like no other."
He smiles that little dorky smile. And I know that he's a keeper. He pulls me in and kisses me softly for a while. I pull away and look at him.
"I think we should get back. I'm kinda cold."
"Sure, come on then."
We get in the car and I play Bad Girls Club by Falling In Reverse.

What an eventful night. I really wish it never ended. But as the saying goes, all good things must come to end. Thank you Colin.
