Episode 11: Spiritual advancement

The following day, I started my fasting in Sister Mary's house. All I could do was to lay down on the bed crying and plead God for mercy.
At 12 noon, I felt weak but not hungry.
"Sister Amanda you have been lying down since we returned from the church. I know you are fasting but it's pass 12 noon are you not breaking the fast? " she asked feeling so concern
"I will but for now am not hungry and the urge to break the fast is not there " I said
"Ok. I prepared fried rice and I have eaten my ration so you can eat yours when you are done with your fast. Am going to work. I will see you later " she said touching my hands
"Thank you for accomodating me and for being a good sister to me. Have a great day at work " I said
"Don't mention. Just be fine. Take care. Please anything you want don't hesitate to call me. Bye " she said
I nodded calmly
"Bye dear "
"One more thing please don't blame yourself for anything. God loves you " she said
She hugged me before leaving the house finally.
I went on my knees instead of praying serious prayer, I started crying in tongues. I prayed till I could no longer feel myself again. As I was praying, I heard Psalms. 126:1,2 and I opened it and started reading with tears. It says 'When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them'.
I continued praying after reading and I was asking God to reveal Himself to me, instead of seeing Him, I heard another Bible passage from Revelation. 1 : 8 which says 'I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.'
I was now assured that God was with me. I prayed till 4pm unknowingly so I decided to rest after the prayers. I laid down on the bed, but I was still praying inside of me.
Later that day, I felt a tap on my back then I woke up to see Sister Mary infront of me.
"Sister Mary good evening. Welcome back. How was work? "
"Fine. You didn't eat the rice again? Or you ate something else? "
"No I haven't eaten anything since you left. I don't feel hungry at all "
"Wow. You mean you are still fasting? "
"Yes "
"More grace. Pray for me too if you can "
I nodded then she left me in the room.
I continued the fasting till the third day without taking anything into my mouth. It was a surprise to Sister Mary but she never said it out.

On the third day, I went to Church as Bro Theophilus had instructed, but I went there an hour to 12 noon so that I could pray personally before Bro Theophilus arrive.
I started my prayers till I felt the host of heaven encamping around me. Though I was weak but I felt the strength of God upon me. I heard Revelation. 21 : 6 so I opened and read it says "And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely." I started praying for the infilling of the Holy Spirit then they was a bright light that shone from above the church roof that even with my eyes closed the reflection was entering my eyes so I used my hands and covered my eyes.
A voice spake
"I WILL USE YOU BEYOND HUMAN IMAGINATION. YOUR GENERATION WILL HEAR ABOUT ME THROUGH YOU BECAUSE YOU LONG TO KNOW ME MORE. I HAVE CHOSEN YOU AMANDA. FROM TODAY YOU ARE ANOINTED AND NO MAN OR WOMAN CAN DISPUTE THAT "
I cried because what I heard and the voice continue
"YOUR SACRIFICE OF FASTING AND TARRYING IN MY PRESENCE AS CAUSED ME TO BLESS YOU AND YOU WILL NEVER BE CAUSED. YOUR MINISTRY WILL BLESS LIVES. ARISE AND SHINE FOR YOUR LIGHT HAS COME AND MY GLORY IS UPON YOU "
I remembered the words a minister once said some months back that I had to jot it down.
"I WILL BE WITH YOU ALWAYS. FEAR NOT "
The voice ceased and the whole church auditorium was quiet. I knew God had answered my prayers so I started worshipping Him.
As I got up, I heard some people giggling and jesting from a distance. I turned round to discover it was Bro Theophilus and two other sisters sitting at the back of the church. I walked down to them.
"Good morning Sir and Madams" I greeted
"It's afternoon " one of the sisters corrected and I checked the time it was ten minutes to three in the afternoon.
"Sorry. Good afternoon everybody " I greeted with a bow
"Shall we start now? " Bro Theophilus asked and I nodded
We started the prayers only the four of us. After worship we got into the atmosphere of praying in the Holy Ghost. We prayed till we were drunk in the Holy Ghost by the time we finished it was 8pm. We dispersed.
