I went for a personal evangelism one day in my Uncle's area, so after preaching to some people there on my way going back, my Uncle drove passed me and he couldn't recognize me because of the sunglasses I was putting on and I decided to go and see him.
I followed him afar off till he entered his house. I waited for five minutes before walking down to the entrance of his house. I knocked on the door and his wife responded from inside.
"Who is there? " she asked
"Ma is Amanda " I answered
"Which Amanda? " she asked but I ignored the question. She opened the door and looked at me but she couldn't fathom who I was because I was so different from the Amanda that she threw out.
"Can I come in? " I asked
"Su_ sure" she stuttered
I entered the house and it was still looking the same way we left, no change of furniture or whatsoever.
I sat on the couch without her permission, she was just staring at me as if I was a goddess.
"Ma please I want to see your husband " I said with audacity
"O_O_Okay" she stuttered and went inside
I felt like acting mischievous like entering the kitchen to dish food for myself but I disciplined myself and sat down quietly.
My Uncle came out with his wife and they sat down opposite me.
I started smiling because their faces were looking so funny.
"You ask to see me. Can you please remove the sunglasses and introduce yourself? " my Uncle asked with gathered courage. I could tell they were nervous to know this Amanda.
"Before I remove the sunglasses and introduce myself, please do you have a Bible in this house? " I asked and they nodded.
"Please Ma go and bring it "
My Aunty hurriedly went in and came out with a big Bible.
"Open to Matthew. 6 : 14, 15 then read" I instructed and they opened quickly
"It says in Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Verse 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." My Aunty read it
"Good. Now let me formally introduce myself " I said
I removed the sunglasses and revealed my real face, they were astonished.
"I am Amanda. The girl that you threw out of your matrimonial home six years back " I said and my Uncle went down on his knees immediately
"Amanda am so sorry for everything I did to you. Ever since you and your sister left this house, my conscience as been disturbing me coupled with the fact that you were pregnant with my child am so sorry " he pleaded with remorse
"Ehhh!! you mean she was saying the truth but you kept on denying it and I sent an innocent child away " my Aunty said to her husband
"It was all your fault. The Doctor said I will never have a child because I was impotent and you kept capitalizing on that but once I copulated with Amanda she got pregnant. That shows you were the barren one. " my Uncle spake with much annoyance and his wife started crying so I folded my hands and watch family movie.
"It happened that day we came back from the hospital, you made life miserable for me by saying all sort of abusive words to me that I can't get you pregnant. Immediately I dropped you in the shop, I came back to the house and cried my eyes out. Two hours later, Amanda came back to the house early because you sent her to prepare dinner on time. She came to my room to check up on me since the door was open, due to depression I couldn't resist her presence so I _ I _ I raped her and told her not to say it to anybody. It was because of you " My Uncle said referring to his wife who was already crying
"I was now the cure for depression and the cure was best during rape abi? " I spake with a bit raised voice and my eyes was already filled with tears but I held it
"Amanda please am sorry " he pleaded and my Aunty went down on her knees and also pleaded with him.
I kept silent for a while before talking.
"Have forgiven you people it was all in the past and that Amanda is dead this is a brand new Amanda let's take it as if it never happened. Also on behalf of Anita I say sorry for her insulting you people"
"No problem. Thank you for forgiving us " my Uncle said
"Please stand up " I instructed to them and they got up
They cleaned their eyes and sat down.
"What of the child? Is he a boy or a girl? " my Uncle asked looking excited
"I had a miscarriage due to circumstances beyond my control "
"So sorry about that " my Aunty said while my Uncle bent his head
"Nothing to worry about because I am fine, better, stronger and happy as you can see " I said
"That's good " My Aunty said
"Please Aunty try to forgive my Uncle that is your husband. What keeps most families going is the power of love and forgiveness because no marriage is free from hurt. Please " I advised
" I will try " she said
" I have a message for you people. In one years time you will carry your twin babies " I prophesied
She smiled because she didn't believe me.
"How? " My Uncle asked raising his head up
"God has said it. However the child will come, I don't know but you will share the testimony soon. " I said
"Amanda do you know that I am 48years old? I have passed menopause incase you don't know " my Aunty corrected
"Thank God you said pause not stop. It will soon be menostart. Every hormones that is dead will come back to life in Jesus name" I declared
"Amen ooo" they both struggled to say and I prayed with them before leaving the house. I felt excited that I had reconciled with them.

One year later my Uncle's wife put to birth twins a boy(Chinedu) and a girl(Chiamaka).
It was time for the child dedication so they invited, at the end of the program, my Uncle handed over to me an envelope with a sum of three hundred thousand naira.
