"Mera heera beta tu
Chand ka ek tukra tu
Mere dil ka dhadkan tu
Maa ka sabse pyara tu"
Veer was going through his old belongings when he found this, the handwritten poem that his mother gifted him on his 15th birthday. Veer smiled reading the poem, and kept it neatly inside his diary.

Anyone would laugh if someone told them that The Veeranshu Singhania, The Iron-hearted Man, The CEO of Mercury Industries, had a habit of diary-writing. He himself would laugh thinking this.
Yes, he really had a habit of maintaining a diary. He never forgot to come to his room after dinner everyday and write in his diary before going to sleep. Ever since he started writing full sentences, this had been his constant. His mother taught him to write about his day in a diary. He had been doing this regularly for about 19 years, until one day when it stopped. After that, no one ever found that old Veer again. After that day, he became Veeranshu Singhania, the stone hearted man. Everything changed about him, except for one thing- the love for his family.

But today, it was different. Veeranshu felt the urge of writing diary once again, after 3 damn years. He tried a lot to control himself; but unable to do so, he finally searched his old shelf, took out a comparatively fresh diary, and sat in his study table with a pen and the diary.

Veer tried to think about his day, and only one thought came in his mind: Bani. As expected... Veeranshu have heard this particular name at least 200 times from the moment they have returned from that "something something" Villa. Yes, he didn't remember its name, because to be honest he didn't like remembering the mere unimportant things in his life.
But, does that mean Bani was important, and that's why you remembered her so exactly??, his heart questioned him.
No, not at all.. It's just that I am hearing her name so much, that's why her thoughts are bothering me, Veer reasoned.

"Matlab hadd hai... Jabse ghar aaya hoon, sab sirf ek hi naam dohra rahe hai: Bani, Bani, and Bani... Puchki aur Doky to chup hone ka naam hi nahi le raha... Maine dinner ke time agar ek aur bar unn ke muh se Bani ka naam suna, to sach keh raha hoon unn dono ko uss Bani ke ghar pack karke bhej dunga....
Meera bhabhi, jo ki humesha chupchap sehmi hui rehti hai, wo bhi aj Hall mein baithke Tapish bhai aur Ponky ke saath baat kiye jaa rahi hai, Topic: Bani (obviously)... Kuch to baat hai iss larki mein; par mujhe kya, mujhe koi fark nahi parta.. shaadi thori na ho rahi hai... Kuch der main wo call karke mana bhi kar degi.... Thank Goddd!!!!"

Truth to be told, Veer had no problem with Bani in particular. Rather, Veer had a slight thought that Bani had something unique in her. Only if he accepted...

His main problem lied with the concept of love, relationships and marriages. Veer was only 5 years old when he saw his favourite chachi go away leaving Daksh and Ponky in their house. He didn't understand much then; but the scene of Daksh crying uncontrollably standing at the doorstep, trying to call and reach out to his mother, telling her to take him along with her, and Veer's mom trying hard to control Daksh made Veer to believe that his chachi was really bad and heartless. As years passed, Veer grew up and understood that the bad woman left his chachu because of another man, and his chachu not being able to take the heartbreak went abroad leaving everyone. Unlike everyone else in the family who blamed both his chachu and that woman equally, Veer believed that the bad woman was the one mostly responsible for everything that happened. Maybe he thought like this because he had seen Daksh suffer his whole childhood only for that woman. The scenes of Daksh's sufferings still gave chills to Veer. That's why, despite being only 2 years older than Daksh, he had always treated him as his son, and the same goes with Ponky. Ponky and Doky were like his own child.
