Surprisingly I did it. I downloaded some sort of dating app which is unusual for me to even do. I'd like to meet the one in person instead of online. Guess I'm getting sadly desperate at this point. Even if it doesn't work out, at least I'll gain another friend. Or will it end in me being blocked after one date...

I made my account and included some photos of myself along with some of my interests, age, and what I'm looking for in a woman. Thought of adding more about myself, but decided only to share more if I manage to get a date. Now all that was left was to wait. This'll be a painfully long wait.

Days passed. Days. Not once did I get a match. At some point I made the move, but still nothing. Either ignoring me or playing that "hard to get" game. Well this sucks.

During work, I did take a slight peak at my phone to see any sort of notification. Nothing yet. The constant checking on my phone made me realize that I'm a little too desperate for the slightest ping. Maybe I should take a break from this. Ignore it, me. It's best to move on instead of waiting.

Work was normal as always. Many meetings, many arrests, many paperwork. Average day basically. Average until something surprising happened.

I crossed paths with Chris during work. I wave at him to be nice, even though he doesn't like me too much. I expected him to ignore me and move on, but no. He waved back. He for once finally acknowledged me during the job. I was taken aback.

I stood in place. I turned around to look at him. I had to make sure if that was actually him. Tall, brown spiky hair, green vest with S.T.A.R.S. plastered on the back. Yup, it was the one and only Chris Redfield.

Since it was him, why did he finally wave back at me ? Is it finally happening ? Is he willing to push those awkward times aside and be a lot more friendly towards me ? I sure hope so. I smiled brightly throughout my shift. Maybe we will actually be decent friends instead of awkward coworkers with a painful grudge.

I guess this day keeps on getting better. Once I arrived home, my phone buzzed. At first I was going to ignore it, but got curious. Thought it could have been an important email that I couldn't miss.

It wasn't an important email, but instead a message. A message from that dating app. My eyes sparkled. Could it be ? Someone would like to get to know me !

Eagerly I opened up the message to read it. It was a simple "hello" from a woman. I looked over their profile. The photos of them looked very pretty. We even share some interests. Apparently they live only 2 hours away. Feels like I hit a jackpot.

I replied back with a hello. Thought of adding a smile emoticon at first, but would that be weird to do ? Too friendly ? Too upfront ?

They replied back quickly. They asked how I was doing. I tell them how I am doing and then ask how they are doing. Both of us seem to be well. Alright, pretty good so far.

We chatted for about an hour, getting to know each other. I had a fun time talking with them. Couldn't help but smile. It's nice to meet someone and so far we seem to be clicking. I do still prefer meeting the one in person instead of online, but this seems to be fine... I suppose. Eventually we will get to meet in person. I wonder when that'll be. I do hope we have a grand time when we actually meet up. Seeing their beauty up front along with an angelic voice...feels like a dream.

The two of us chatted for hours. We were both enjoying each other's company I think- I hope. None of us stopped sharing little things about ourselves and this is still our first conversation with one another. Surely we're the perfect match.

As much fun as this was, we had to quit so we could do other work and then go to bed. We shared our goodbyes then went off to do other important things.
