The Battle (part two)

  The Battle had started. Donnie and I circled around each other. I charged at him. He kicked me off my feet and tried to kick me but I slid right under him and got him from behind. He flinched as I jumped up and onto the ceiling beams. Donnie looked really confused. I jumped right next to him and round-house kicked him straight in the gut. He retaliated and kicked me in the stomach. I flinched and he punched me in my shoulder. Throbbing pain filled my arm.

  He came back and knocked me off my feet again. "Donatello you are done. As for Emma, you may need to rest for a while", Master Splinter said to me as Donnie helped me up. I sighed. When I went to walk out of the room, my shoulder shot more pain. Donnie must have noticed because he dragged me to his lab and sat me down on his desk. He looked at my shoulder. "You shouldn't use this arm for a while, Emma. You could hurt it more", he said. I nodded as he wrapped my shoulder in bandages. When he was done, he lifted me off the desk. Then, we heard a voice call out. "Hello? Is anyone here?" The voice asked. I dashed out of the lab and jumped into April's arms. "Oh hi Emma!" She said hugging me back. "How is training going?" She asked. "Good. Donnie beat me in combat today", I said. She laughed. "You did do good though", Leo said as he walked out of the dojo. "Hi Leo", April and I said at the same time. "For once I have to agree", Raph said and ruffled my hair. I frowned at him and fixed my pony tail. "You were awesome", Mikey said fist bumping me. There was another loud explosion from the lab. This time, Donnie walked out with his goggles blown off. We all laughed as Donnie wiped the soot from his face.

  Later after dinner, I was walking to the dojo for my private lessons with Sensei and Leo. I walked in and sat across from Leo. He smiled. "Hi Emma", he said. "Hi", I said back. He closed his eyes and went into deep thought. I meditated with him. I felt like I was floating. I couldn't tell how much time had gone by. Leo had to shake me out of my meditation. An hour had passed while I was in thought. "Looks like you're in deep trance, Emma", Sensei said, nodding. I nodded back and walked to my room. I took out my guitar and started playing a song.

  I went into the solo part of that song. I heard the door creak, probably someone on the other side listening. I went into the next verse.

As I sang, I heard a whisper from outside. I couldn't tell who it was. I strumed my guitar and kept playing.

  As I finished the song I set my guitar down and ran to the door. I opened it and saw April and my brothers standing there. "I didn't know you could sing Emma", Donnie said looking at me. I blushed and stared at the floor. "I don't like to show it", I said quietly. I did play soft though. I taught myself how to play and have been playing for a long time. Singing too.

  "Why not? I think your a great musician", April said. "Gee. I kinda wanna sing now...", Mikey said. "Don't", Raph said putting his hand over Mikey' s mouth. "I have a recording for you Mikey", I said handing him a tape of songs I've done. He took it and dashed to his room. "How did you put it on a tape?" Leo asked staring down the hallway. "What hasn't Donnie taught me?" I answered. Raph smirked at me. "I have an idea. Come on guys", he said dragging everyone to the dojo. I laughed then went to bed.
