The droplets of dew on the grass
They feel so pleasing to my bare feet.
And the cold wind that rushes through the night
It feels so tender on my skin. The dawn seems harsh today
As it does every time, in every way.
The trees seem quiet somehow,
As if the birds have not felt the cause of this day.Even though harsh, it never fails to astonish me,
The way the night ends and leaves behind such beauty for us.
Do you feel the need to be here every time,
As if you want to come and see it every day, as if you must?So tell me, do you believe?
Do you believe in me and believe this sun?
To be with me here, with me, forever
And dive into the blue horizon?I spend the hours waiting on the bed
Hoping to dose off somehow
But the twitch here and the itch there
Has kept me till four right nowThe hope of seeing something new
And the wish to know what I feel
Has kept me in this blurry loop
And it’s hard to figure out what is realEven though slow, it never fails to enlighten me
The way the breeze runs along my skin in a rush
Do you feel the need to live this way tonight?
As if you happen to like the pain, as if you must?So tell me, do you have faith?
Faith in me and faith in what you reckon?
To be with me here, with me, forever
And dive into the blue horizon?~jay
