Kurapika wakes up to the light of the sunrise coming in through his window. He could not believe how rested he felt. He thought about Akemi and how he did not regret telling her about his past. He felt he could lay there all morning, but it was time to start the day. The hotel room Light Nostrade reserved for Kurapika was luxurious. Kurapika got up from the king-sized bed and made his way to the spacious bathroom. He got ready fast because of how hungry he was from not eating last night.

As he was locking his door, he noticed Melody walking by.
"Oh, good morning, Kurapika. You look much better." she says to him.
"Good morning, Melody. Thank you. Yes, I slept very well last night." he replies back.
"We can handle the auction and shopping if you still want the day off." Melody assures him.
"Yes, that would be nice. I still have other business to attend to while we are still in the city." says Kurapika.
"Oh, about that. The boss changed her mind and she wants to stay in Yorknew a little longer. Her father said that was fine so we will all be staying here and watching over her." Melody explains.
"Right, that works for me. Thank you again, Melody." says Kurapika.
"You're welcome, Kurapika." Melody smiles and walks away.

Kurapika takes the stairs down to the hotel's restaurant for breakfast. The tray almost couldn't support all the food he had piled on it. When he sat down, he noticed Akemi sitting alone at a table on the other side of the restaurant. She notices him looking her way and waves. He smiles at her and she walks towards his table.
"Hello, Kurapika! How was the rest of your night?" Akemi asks.
"It was good. I slept very well. How about you?" asks Kurapika.
"Yes, me too! I was afraid I'd be tossing and turning all night due to the elevator experience!"
"Yes, that was quite an experience." Kurapika smiles.
"You're hungry this morning, aren't you?" Akemi notices all of the food on his tray.
"I guess I did go a little overboard, huh?" Kurapika laughs.
"Just a little. I'm really glad I ran into you, Kurapika." says Akemi.
"I am also glad, Akemi." he says.

Kurapika notices her arms crossed on the table and reaches over to hold her hand. They both blush. Kurapika's cell phone rings. Neither of them notice.

They both continue to talk while sharing Kurapika's breakfast. Time goes by so fast and before they knew it, it was lunchtime. Kurapika checks the time on his phone and notices all of the missed calls.

"Oh, missed calls from Gon, Killua, and Leorio. I forgot I am supposed to meet them today." Kurapika explains.
"Friends of yours?" asks Akemi.
"Yes, very good friends. I'm sorry, but I really should get to them."
"Of course, no problem! I need to go visit my father anyway. Can we meet up again tonight or something?" she asks excitedly.
"Yes, that would be great. I should be back before sunset. I am in room 4130." he answers.
"Ok, see you tonight then!" she says while getting up to leave.
"See you tonight!" Kurapika responds.

Kurapika calls Gon back.
"Hello, Gon. Yes, I'm at the hotel. I'll be right up." he says to Gon on the phone.
Kurapika walks up to the lobby on the 25th floor to meet them. He sees his friends at the corner of the lobby and greets them all with a big smile.

"Kurapika!" screams Gon while running up to meet Kurapika.
"Hey!" says Leorio while waving.
"Hello, everybody!" says Kurapika.
"Kurapika, I'm happy for you! The spiders are dead and that means you can finally focus on your main goal, right? You have to go out there and find them. The eyes of your people." says Gon.
"Gon." Kurapika is happy to see his friend.
"And if there is anything we can do to help you out, just let us know!" says Gon.
"Why have you been ignoring us?" asks Killua.
"Oh, my apologies. I met someone and we were having breakfast together." answers Kurapika.
"Breakfast? It's one o'clock!" says Killua.
"Yes, I guess we were just enjoying each other's company and lost track of the time." Kurapika says while taking a seat close to his friends.
"Well, you're here now and that's all that matters. Right, Killua?" asks Gon.
"Whatever." says Killua with an annoyed look.
"You met someone, huh?" Leorio asks.
"Yes. Yes, I have." Kurapika answers while blushing.
"Really? Who is it?" Leorio is excited to hear the answer.
"Um, a girl named Akemi." answers Kurapika.
"A girl? I bet she is cute, isn't she?" asks Leorio.
"A girl? Eww you know that is just gross, Kurapika." Killua chimes in.
"Hey, Kurapika. We want to know how you mastered Nen so fast." says Gon.
"Hey, we'll get to that. I want to hear more about this girl! Where did you meet her?" asks Leorio.
"It's a funny story, actually." answers Kurapika.

Kurapika continues to tell his friends about how he met Akemi.

"Wow, you were really stuck in an elevator for that long?" asks Gon.
"Yes, I have been taking the stairs ever since." answers Kurapika with a smile.
"I guess we should do the same. Hey, Killua. Let's have a race back down!" says Gon excitedly.
Killua shrugs.
"I'll just continue to take the elevator and hopefully have the same luck as Kurapika." says Leorio.
"Hey, so are you going to tell us how you mastered Nen?" asks Killua, growing impatient.
Kurapika looks down and answers.
"You don't want my advice."

Kurapika explains the condition he made in order to have a stronger Nen ability.

Leorio is only interested in Kurapika's new friend and asks Kurapika to describe her to him. The boys start their own conversation.
"So this was a complete waste of time. Have you forgotten why we are really here?" Killua asks Gon.
"Yeah, for Greed Island." answers Gon, scratching his head.
"Well, then let's get the hell out of here!" says Killua.
"Right. I just want to make sure Kurapika doesn't need our help." says Gon.
Kurapika hears Gon and answers.
"I'm fine, Gon."
"Well, you just call if anything changes!" Gon says to Kurapika.
"Right. It was very nice seeing all of you!" Kurapika says.

They all get up from their chairs to leave.
"Hey, Killua! Race you back down!" Gon says to Killua while running to the stairs.
"Wait! No fair you got a head start!" Killua responds while running after Gon.
Kurapika laughs. Leorio stands in front of Kurapika.
"You seem different. I mean I can definitely sense how strong you have gotten, but at the same time, happier." Leorio says to Kurapika.
"You are correct, Leorio. I am happy. I mean, at first I was upset about not capturing the spiders myself, but now I will do what Gon said and focus on recovering my brethren's eyes." says Kurapika.
"Right, well you make sure to keep me updated on this girl!" Leorio picks up his briefcase to leave.
"Will do, Leorio." Kurapika says with a soft laugh.
