Chapter 10

Dr. Ikeda is operating on Akemi. She is wide awake and screaming in pain. Gon and Killua quickly assess the room. Dr. Ikeda notices them.

"Get the hell out of here! I'm not running a pediatric unit!" yells Dr. Ikeda.

Gon stands in front of a patient monitor and starts to press buttons while Killua quietly walks to where the antidote is.

"What does this do?" Gon asks.
"Don't touch that!" yells Dr. Ikeda while grabbing one of his nen syringes.
"Hey, is that what you used to make Kurapika sick?" Gon notices the syringe.
"Yes, and this one will make your tiny brain bleed out." Dr. Ikeda answers.
"I guess I should avoid that one then." says Gon while running towards the doctor.

Gon runs so fast the doctor doesn't notice him right in front of him.

"I'll take that!" says Gon while grabbing the syringe.

Gon places the syringe on the floor and steps on it.

Meanwhile, Killua is standing next to the operating table. He is reaching for the antidote when Akemi grabs his arm.

"Please, help Kurapika." Akemi whispers to Killua.

Killua notices the hole in the middle of Akemi's chest.

"Damn." says Killua.

Killua is successful in retrieving the antidote for Kurapika. He quickly leaves the operating room and hands the medication to Leorio. Leorio draws up the antidote and inserts it into Kurapika's antecubital vein.

"Hurry! I don't know how much longer Gon can keep that guy distracted!" exclaims Killua.
"Just give it a second to work," says Leorio.
"Leorio? Killua? Where's Gon?" asks Kurapika, already feeling better.
"Kurapika!" Leorio says, excitedly.
"He's inside distracting that doctor. And your girlfriend is in pretty bad shape there." explains Killua.
"Let me take care of this." says Kurapika while standing up.

Kurapika walks back into the operating room. Killua and Leorio follow him inside.

"Gon! I'll take it from here!" Kurapika yells at Gon.

Gon runs back to where Killua and Leorio are standing. Kurapika stands in front of Dr. Ikeda. Kurapika's eyes are now scarlet. Dr. Ikeda attempts to throw another nen syringe at Kurapika. Kurapika quickly avoids it.

"Did you actually think that would work on me again? I now know your ability." says Kurapika.
"I see you managed to recover. Too bad for Akemi here. It doesn't look like she will survive the surgery." Dr. Ikeda explains to Kurapika.
"Bastard!" yells Kurapika.

Kurapika raises his right arm, stopping at chest level. His chains are already exposed. He lifts his little finger and points it directly at Dr. Ikeda.

"Judgement chain." says Kurapika while the chain falls from his little finger.
"Dr. Ikeda! I have two conditions for you. Abide by them and I will let you live. First off, I demand that you heal Akemi, her father, and all of the other patients here. Second, I hereby forbid all further use of nen after the healing. Accept, and I will stab you with my judgement chain, arbiter little finger." Kurapika explains to Dr. Ikeda.

"You're telling me I can't run my practice anymore? What if I don't accept?" Dr. Ikeda asks.
"Then you die!" yells Kurapika while stabbing Dr. Ikeda with his judgement chain.

Dr. Ikeda jumps back at the feeling of being stabbed in the chest.

"If I can't practice anymore then I am better off dead." explains Dr. Ikeda.

Kurapika is sweating and his jaw is clenched. He is worried Dr. Ikeda won't heal all of the patients.
