The names in this are fake btw

"Jack I don't know...are you sure maybe there's a reason they don't want us to see," Daniel said nervously. He leaned against jacks head bored to be feather away from Jack who was at the end of the bed. "Obviously. if it were something nice they'd let us see them," Jack rolled his eyes. He wasn't exactly in a good mood and they hadn't even opened anything yet. "But I don't think it's a good idea," Daniel said. "Okay then leave I'll do it with or without you."  Jack said pulling out the first piece of paper in one of the stacks. He read it over "if your leaving don't forget your birth certificate," he said rolling his eyes again pushing the paper to Daniel.

Daniel picked it up "hey hey! Oh my god did you realize it has the wrong year for my birth year?!" He said and tugged on Jacks arm: "please you suck at lying and I've seen your birth certificate before asshole," Jack slightly laughed at him but not by much. Daniel laid on his stomach and crawled to the end of the bed where Jack was. "I was just tryna make you laugh or something," he said. Jack sighed and opened one of the folders.

He sighed again "this just says shit about the adoption being finalized," he passed the paper to Daniel "wait I didn't know you were named after-" Jack cut him off "my name isn't Jackson I'm nothing like him...plus he went by his middle name sometimes," Jack said quietly. Daniel looked over the form more skimming all the information he already knew just looking for their biological mothers name.

"Jamie Lynn Avery? Is that her?" He asked after finding the man on the document. "Yep," Jack said powering on Daniels laptop "I'm going to look her up," he said. "Jack was she like that to? I don't really remember that much before we got adopted," Daniel pulled the paper folder closer to see what the rest of the papers were. "I don't really remember...welI I do but it's fuzzy. I remember she left one day and never came back and very few other things,"

"I remember when Zach was born kinda because she told me to get a cigarette out of her purse and got mad at me when I couldn't find it, um I remember being really little and being at the park or something like that and she made me hold her hand the whole time and I cried don't remember why, I don't really remember anything about her now that I think about it..." Jack said looking down at his hands "I wish I remembered though," Daniel gently touched his shoulder "it's okay don't be so hard on yourself it was a long time ago and you were a little kid," he spoke softly. Jack shrugged it off. "Does it ever feel weird to you when you realize we're not actually related to them?" He asked the younger.

"No...I just view them as my parents don't you?" Daniel asked. "Well yeah of course I do it's just- I don't know sometimes I have to remind myself you know?" Jack explained. Daniel still didn't understand "no?" He said but his tone sounded more questioning. "Well for twelve years of my life I didn't even know they existed and I was thirteen by the time we got officially adopted so it's not like I had a childhood with them...yeah I had some but I mean like the actual childhood part like bedtime stories and I don't know loosing my first tooth or some shit. So I kinda sometimes when I get upset make it up in my head that I just don't remember that stuff as well and I make up some fake scenario about it in my head...but then I remember and yeah," Jack explained. Talking to Daniel has always been different for Jack he always told him everything and has always trusted the younger a little more than anyone else. The main reason for that being Daniel was there he was the first real person he could ever really talk to even if he was only seven back then but after the long days trapped in that closet he was all Jack had to talk to because Zach was so little then. "You know I used to wish for food everyday...Then I'd give it to you and find a way for Zach to eat it since he was still to little to chew and now...Sometimes I get so mad at him but I just have to remind myself he couldn't have known." An awkward silence filled the room when Jack stopped speaking. He swallowed harshly and quickly changed the subject "enough of that we have a lot of paperwork to go through," he said taking a deep breath.
