STILES
"Hey, are you okay?" I ask Lydia as I step inside her girly teenage bedroom. It's quite different from mine now I realise it. Her walls are a light shade of pink which ties along with the rest of pink items in her room. Whereas my bedroom walls are a shade of grey and my room is way less pink that Lydia's. My bed covers are white with tassels patterned on them, random but actually quite nice.
"Yeah, I just thought we should catch up." She replies softly, this is the first time since I have been back that I actually like this girl.
"Oh, well, okay! So, how's Jackson?" I decided to start the conversation off with something simple. For instance, boys.
"He's great." Lydia didn't sound too convincing as she patted beside her bed for me to sit. "How's Stiles?"
If I had water in my mouth right now I guarantee you that I would have dramatically spit it out and probably nearly drowned her.
"What? What do you mean?" I show my confusion as I take a seat, smiling but frowning.
"How's Stiles? Yanno, your relationship? How is it?" Relationship?
"Lydia, I've told you this before, we are not dating." I remind her. Why does she always think we are dating? Does it really seem like we are?
"Well, you sure do look like you are. Anyways-"
I cut her off before she can say anymore, eager to know why she thought this."How? I mean, why did you suspect we were?"
"Please, if you saw the way he looks at you you wouldn't be asking me that question. He looks at you like you're the only thing that matters. Like, whenever you two are around each other he just can't seem to keep his eyes off you. And I've seen the way you look at him, Jade. You can't tell me that you are just friends. There's gotta be something between you two. If there isn't, I don't think I'll ever believe in true love." The strawberry blonde explains to me, making me question if she ever was actually a bitch, maybe she just changed for the worse and actually was just her inside.
"Lydia, I- You really think that?" I struggle to get my words out after that somehow heartbreaking speech she just spoke out.
"Of course I do, and it's the dance soon, I'll be completely flabbergasted if he doesn't end up asking you to go with him." I was surprised Lydia even knew all of this in the first place, like she's the biggest 'Jade and Stiles' shipper in the world. She's creepily, but most likely, to have made up a whole ship name for us.
"Thank you, Lydia. To be honest, he has been kinda weird late, but a nice weird. He always cuts Scott off randomly when I guarantee he is about to say my name. Oh, and before I came here, he gave me the most warm and gentle hug I have ever received. Lydia, I like him. I really like him." I can't believe I am even telling this to her, but it's true. I do really like Stiles. I can't hide that.
"Well, when you feel the time is right, you should definitely tell him. I swear to god you will be the most adorable couple in the world. You deserve each other, Jade. You really do." Lydia smiles and rubs my shoulder softly.
"I will, I will." I tell her.
I really like Stiles.
