AFTER EFFECTS

"Jade! Jade, Jade c'mon, Jade you gotta wake up."

"Jade, please."

"I can't have both the people I care the most about in the whole wide world be injured. Or even die."

"I can't lose you."

"Jade, Jade, I lo-"

I fight for air as I return to consciousness.

Something happened. But I can't remember.

"Argent." I mutter, not really knowing why I was saying Allison's family name but thankful that I was in the company of my best friend. I look the worried and crying boy staring down at me in relief. I can't help but let the tears pour into my hazel eyes and fall down my face.

"Hey, hey, Jade. It's okay, I'm right here." Stiles comforts me, pulling me into a strong but gentle hug. I wrap my arms around his body and we stay put, just enjoying each other's touch before I get startled by a bang on the window and the shattering of glass. But with that happening, Stiles seemed so calm, worried, but calm. I scan around the room for any broken windows or glass, but there isn't a smashed window in sight. You're imaging it. Is what I repeatedly tell myself in my subconscious.

"W-what happened?" I stutter, sitting up in Stiles comfy bed. Only just realising that I was in the Stilinski boy's bedroom.

"You blacked out, I presume it was because of all the chaos." He rubs the back of my head. Looking at me like an adorable little puppy.

"Y-yeah. That was w-why." I agree with his guess. "Did something happen to your dad?" I suddenly remember the cause of panic before I saw pitch black.

He looked slightly confused at how I knew something had happened but couldn't hold in the truth. "Yeah, he's fine though. He'll be okay. We'll be okay." He gives me a small smile before slowly removing his large hand from supporting the back of my head.

"How long was I out for?"

"An hour and a half." He seemed just as shocked saying it as I was shocked hearing it. Is that even possible?

"To be honest, there's no point questioning that. I don't know what's not possible anymore." I sigh as I readjust myself so that my body is facing his.

"Neither do I."

"Hey, when I was out. Before I came back to consciousness, you're were about to say something. What was it?" I ask innocently. Causing his calm yet worried face to turn blush red in the cheeks and his eyes to widen.

"Um...I- um...you know, I was just going to say that, um..." He starts rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "It's nothing really, just something that I, um, wanted to say before it was too late."

"You- you thought I was going to die?" My heart sank at the thought of him thinking I was going to die. His face when he said it made my, already sunken, heart drown. He looks up at me and he looks the most worried he's ever looked in his whole life.

"Well, to be fair, you were it for a solid hour and a half. And yeah, I did think Iw as never going to be able to see you again. So I decided to tell you h-how I feel." His eyes widen a tiny bit at his last statement, also making me go a bit nervous. How he feels? I've been waiting to hear how he feels ever since we met for the second time. Before even realising that it was Stiles standing in my doorway asking for some fuel. But I still caught feelings straight away.
