Chapter 4: "The Kidnapping"

Klaus's P.O.V

"Caroline?" Marcel yelles shocked.

"What are you doing here?" They both shout in inuson, as they hugged.

"Would someone care to explain what is happening" Elijah says, as calm as always.

"Oh, sorry, me and Marcel go way back" Caroline says laughing.

We all look at each other confused until Marcel talks.

"Me and Caroline met three years ago at a bus stop" , Caroline continuous "I was going to see Tyler in the Apalaches and I was conflicted about getting on the bus or not, thats when I saw a dashing gentelman sitting next to me (she laughs and looks at Marcel), he asked if I was okay, one thing led to another and we ended up wasted in a tacky bar by the side of the road sharing our issues "Marcel continued" I told her to dump the idiot and she adviced me to stop sleeping with my enemy (sophie deveraux) ".

Marcel chuckled and said "please tell me you dumped that dush bag", Caroline laughed and said "yeah, before I came, did you quit having sex with a witch you don't even like?", before he could answer I said "well, it's great that you reconected, but we should get going, we have a lot more to see".

"Yeah, you should join us Marcel" Caroline says looking at Marcel.

" I would love to, but I have to run some errands with Diego" Marcel luckily says.

"Okay, I have to go to the restroom for a sec, but as soon as I come back we can go", Caroline leaves, giving me a sweet smile.

Hayley's P.O.V

I followed Caroline to the bathroom.

"What's wrong?" she asked confused.

I shutted the door and said "what the hell was that?!".

"What are you talking about?" she asked genuinely confused.

"Why would you parede your old hook up in Klaus's face? do you wanna leave? are you over him?" I asked agitated.

"WHAT!? me and Marcel never slept together, and by the way I've been waiting all day for Klaus to ask me to stay, it's not exactly happening, so if he doesn't I'm gonna leave".

"So you're not trying to make Klaus jealous, so it's easier to leave?" I say with shame.

"No, now I'll re do my make up and a I will see you outside" she says in a kind way.

I leave an close the door embarresed.

Caroline's P.O.V 

I was doing my lips, when I heard a noice coming from out the window, I didn't see anything so I was going to put my things away, when a magical wave knocked my head against the mirror snapping my neck.

Klaus's P.O.V

Half an hour had passed and Caroline hadn't come out of the bathroom, I asked Hayley to check in on her.

"Oh my god!" I heard Hayley scream from the bathroom.

Me, Marcel and Elijah rushed to her side, to see blood all over the broken mirror and make up on the floor.

"She was taken, it must have been those bloody witches that came after you and Caroline!" I yelled desperated and angry.

"Calm down Niklaus, we will find her, Marcel and I will check the street, you and Hayley check the woods" Elijah says leaving with Marcel.

I grabbed Hayley and rushed to the woods, we followed a trail of blood for a short amount of time, until we heard a scream coming from inside the woods, I picked up Hayley so that she could catch up and hurried in the direction of the noice, when we got there I saw Caroline tide up with vervain ropes and stakes in both her legs, she could bearly move, before I had a chance to kill her captor he swiftly took a stake and introduce a little bit of it into her chest.

"Move one muscle and she dies" he says pressing the stake further, which made Caroline scream in pain.

"Give me the wolf and I release her", Caroline shaked her head in tears.

She loosened her ties, punching the guy in the stomach and fleeing as fast as posible.

"Guess she didn't like you that much" he says grabbing a stake from his bag and throwing it at Hayley faster than I could react, but Caroline appeared and caught the stake, she snapped the guy's neck.

She smiled and said "you didn't really think that I left, did you?".

I chuckled and said "not a chance", I kissed her, but before we could get far Hayley interrumpted, she coughed and said "well, this is sweet and all, but my feet are killing me, could we go home?", we chuckled and nodded, in that Elijah and Marcel appeared, Marcel released a breath in relief, and hugged Caroline, Elijah checked on Hayley of course.

Caroline letted go of Marcel and said "didn't you have errands to run", he laughed and said "your more important" , this angered me, but I didn't show it, instead I said "well, I think we should get to the compound, it's too much sentimentality for a day", Caroline rolled her eyes and nodded, "let's go" she said.

Caroline's P.O.V

When we got to the compound Hayley went straight to bed and Elijah to his room, leaving me and Klaus alone, in that moment all I could think about is what Hayley and I talked about, not about Marcel, about Klaus's intentions in our "relationship".

"I think I'm going to bed, it's been a long day" he says leaving the room, but before he could go all of my doubts stroke me in a second, I couldn't keep it to my self anymore, so I said "wait!" in a high pitch, he turned confused, "what are we?" I say in a normal pitch now, "what do you mean?" he says even more confused, "I love you, and you love me, and we had sex, but you havent done or said anything else, so what are we?, what are we doing? do you want me to be your girlfriend?" I took a long breath and said sadly "do you even want me to stay?".

"Of course I want you to stay, I didn't say anything because I wasn't sure you wanted to" he says touching my arm "why wouldn't I want to stay?" I say softly "well, in the morning you said "while I'm here", that troubled me for quite a while and of course there is Marcel, who your very fondly of" he says.

"Why does everyone think I have something with Marcel!, he is my friend and I have no feelings for him, I love you!, and I only said that because I was waiting for you to say "stay".

"I'm sorry I didn't say it, I was scared" he says getting closer, he makes a wierd look and says "what do you mean everyone?", I chuckle and say "nothing", I kiss him.
