Chapter 3: The Messy Arrival

Hayley's P.O.V

As I cleaned up after Klaus's vampire sluter, a familiar face walked into the compound.

"Caroline?" I asked surprised.

"Yeah, I'm sorry to barge in, but I'm looking for Klaus"

"He and Elijah left to find some witches" I say with a strange and curious look in my eyes.

"Ohh thanks, look I need to say it, I'm so sorry about what Tyler did, I had no idea and I would have never let it happen if I knew" she says with releif and regret in her eyes.

"It wasn't your fault, and I did betray you, you shouldn't feel sorry for me" I say with a calm and reaffirming voice.

"What are you talking about?, You could have killed me and still you wouldn't have deserved what happened" she says with understanding eyes.

Caroline's P.O.V

As I helped Hayley clean up, we felt this intense headache that pushed as to the ground, when I lifted my head to see what was going on, I saw a lot of witches barge throw the door.

"Take the wolf and kill the vampire" a witch yelled to the rest, but before they could get their hands on Hayley I knocked two of them to the floor and quickly snapped their necks, my pain stopped and I swiftly got up and yelled at Hayley to get out and call Klaus.

"I'm not leaving you" she stubbernly said.

"I'll be fine, you have a baby!" 

She guiltily ran away, when I turned to the witches, one of them stabbed with a wooden piece in my stomach, that made me drop to the floor, they pulled it out and stabbed it less than an inch away from my heart, I couldn't move, I just expected the end, when Klaus barged in with vamp speed and killed them all.

He pulled the stake out of me and picked me up as I passed out.

Klaus's P.O.V

I carried Caroline to my room and layed her on my bed, I covered her with a blanket, I was going to get her some water, when.

"Klaus?" she says with a weak voice.

"I'm here" I say comforting her.

"Where is Hayley?" she says trying to get up.

"She is fine, she is with Elijah downstairs" I say putting her back in bed.

"This witches came in I couldn't fight them" she says with tears on her eyes.

"You protected Hayley risking your own life, and the witches bodys downstairs say otherwise" I say wiping her tears.

She just smiled at me.

Caroline's P.O.V

As I got out of bed, I putted on my jacket and I was going to leave, when Klaus grebbed my hand and pulled me to him.

"I just have one question, why did you come to New Orleans? he says with charming and cocky eyes.

"I... came to see Mardi Gras, and I thought it would be rude not to stop by....." I say with a very high pitch and a goofy smile.

"Aha, just that?" he says with an arrogant face.

"Yeeeee...." I couldn't finish the sentence, cause I felt so dizzy and I colapsed, but before I could touch the floor Klaus caught me.

"What's wrong?" he says with the most worried look I've ever seen.

"I don't, I don't know, aaaah" I yelled in pain, grabbing my arm.
