Breakdown

To my surprise I slept well. I woke up and Chris wasn't next to me. I laid there for a moment listening to the random sounds. Microwave beeping, guitars being tuned and random talking.

"So you going to finally say something to her?". I could hear Balz chewing on his food between words. "I doubt it". I could hear him smirk. "I might, but what if it -". I got up and head to the front to grab a drink. "Morning". They smiled. "Morning". I grabbed my tea and plopped down next to Ricky who was barely awake. I rested my head on him. "Are you feeling better shel?". I nodded at Balz as I sipped my tea.

A moment later I felt my phone vibrate and looked down to see who texted me. "Balz". I opened it up to see what was so important that he needed to text me when I'm sitting no more then ten feet away!

B- he wants to be with you.

-who are you talking about?

B- Chris

I stared at the screen then looked up at him in total shock. Chris looked over at me. "You ok?". "Ya I'm fine". "Alright well get your butts moving, we need to start getting ready in ten minutes"

-how do you know?

B- I just do. I have to go though. The giant needs us to get ready.

I kept thinking about what josh said and I didn't know what to think. I did the video footage that Megan needed and honestly got some great stuff. The bands, the kids, mech, random shit, interviews.

They were playing and we're going to be done soon so I decided to go stop at the RV to get my phone and talk to Megan. I was walking and not paying attention when I felt someone touch me. I was paralyzed to my fucking core when I saw who was looking at me.

I wanted to scream. Cry. Anything. But I was shocked. "Shelby?". I back away slowly. "What the fuck are you doing here Emmett....get the fuck away from me". He backed away and my tears started rolling. "CHRIS!!". Emmett back away and held out his hands. "Shelby please just listen for a moment". "Ricky! Balz!". I saw Chris out of the corner of my eye then he started booking it toward me with Ricky following his footsteps.

"Shelby? Are you ok? What's going on?". I pointed at him. "Emmett". Chris immediately pushed me behind him and Ricky. Chris started screaming. "The fuck do you think your doing here! You almost kill her and you have the nerve to come near her after you get out of prison?". Emmett went to say something but a pregnant women waddled up. "Emmett baby!". She grabbed his hand and then got in front of him. "Wait listen please! I'm name is Nicky. I'm Emmett's wife. After Emmett got out of jail he was forced to go to anger management, have a parlor officer, go to AA and consulting. When I got pregnant things changed. He just wanted to apologize Shelby. His consular told him that if he ever saw you again to apologize to you and then stay away after. I know you won't believe him but that's all he wanted. I swear". "No offense but fuck you Emmett. You said your apology now stay the fuck away from me". The women nodded. "I figured you would say that, and I'm sorry for everything he has done to you. He will never see you again, I promise you that". "She is telling the truth Shelby, I'm sorry for everything I ever did to you and know that I'm paying for it. I hope life treats you well from now on". He grabbed her hand and walked away.

My chest tightened and I couldn't breath. Even though he just left, I was so scared and was having a panic attack and started crying. I grabbed Chris and placed my face crying in his chest. He held me tight and Ricky hugged me from behind as well. "Let's get in the bus".

I sat down on the couch and I couldn't cry. Hell I couldn't even talk. Chris sighed. "We have to go the signing... But we can't leave you like this". "Just go. I'll be fine. I can text you". "You sure?". I nodded and Ricky kissed me on the head before dashing off. Chris stood there for a moment looking at me. "I'll hurry back and we can talk if you want". I nodded and he kissed me on the head as well before heading out.

I sat there hanging my head, trying to calm down when my phone went off twice.

R- hey are you alright?

K-I'm fine.

B- I heard what happened, I'm sorry.

K-it's okay m, I'll be okay.

I ignored the other times my phone went off. I got up, went threw my purse and took a anxiety pill before grabbing a blanket and buried myself into the bunks. I closed my eyes and took depth breaths until I fell asleep.
