Yawning and stretching, I roll over and sling my arm over Marcellius' chest. Snuggling into the crook of his neck, I inhale his familiar manly scent. Just a month ago I was falling off the ladder and into Marcellius' arms. But now I am sleeping in his arms and falling in love with him.

Sighing with satisfaction, I lean in and plant a soft kiss on his jawline. He stirs in his sleep, shifting closer towards me with a groan. "Morning tesoro(darling)." His voice is low and raspy, his sexy accent thicker than ever.

"Sorry, did I wake you?"

"Yes," he admits. "But I don't mind." He opens his eyes, leaning in and giving me a quick peck on the lips. Sitting up, he reaches over and grabs something out of the drawer of his nightstand. When he looks back over at me he's wearing thin, black, rectangular shaped glasses.

I was a bit surprised. I've never seen him wear glasses before. With his seemingly perfect eyesight I didn't even know he needed any. As if he couldn't get any more handsome.

He looks like a sexy college professor and it's making me feel some type of way. I didn't even realize I was staring at him like some hungry animal until he raised a brow. "What?" he questions.

"Oh, uh sorry. I'm just surprised. I didn't know you wore glasses."

"Do they look weird or something?"

He reaches up to take them off, but I place my hand over his to stop him. "No, keep them on. I like them." I watch him as he turns to sit on the edge of the bed. His back flexes as he stretches. Biting my lower lip, I get up on my knees and wrap my arms around his neck. "Don't leave."

He glances back at me. "I wish I could, but your attacker is still out there. Which means I still have some work to do." He stands to his feet. Sitting back down on the bed, I let out a defeated sigh.

I almost forgot about him. I wanted to forget about it. That man took a part of me with him when he pulled the trigger.

I have become paranoid to the point of having to sleep with a light on. I'm afraid he'll figure out I'm alive and come back to finish the job. I'm surrounded by a Mafia family and yet I'm still having to look over my shoulder. I want my life back. I need my life back. I am so sick of this.

I look down sadly, shaking my head. "Look at me Mia." Looking up at him, his facial expression is serious. "I will stop at nothing to find the bastard. And when I do, believe me- he will regret ever stepping foot into your cafe."

Marcellius being so protective of me has always been a huge turn on. It sends a delightful chill down my spine and a painful aching feeling between my thighs. "I know and I am very thankful."

My eyes trail over to his muscular body. We haven't been on the best of terms, but there was no denying the sexual desire I felt for him as he stood before me. It should be illegal to look this hot this early in the morning.

"Are you about to hop in the shower?" He nods. "Mind if I join you?" I needed him right here and now. My hand wasn't going to satisfy me the way I knew he could.

He doesn't respond as he pulls off his boxer briefs. They fall around his ankles as he looks back at me. Such a perky ass. "You coming?" Nodding, I climb out of bed and follow him into the bathroom.

His back is still turned to me when he turns on the shower. Quickly removing my underwear, I set them down on the sink counter and shut the bathroom door.

Marcellius is maintaining his distance, dipping his head under the shower head as the water drenches his hair and body. He's unintentionally being a tease and it's driving me insane. Slightly annoyed by this, I step forward and close the distance between us. "What are you doing?" I don't say anything.
