Keith's POV-

The rain slapped the roof of Emily's house like how my mixtape slaps.

"Keith?" Emily asked.

"Wassup?" I replied.

"Are you as bored as I am right now?"

"To be honest with ya, I'm so bored I might die."

"I feel you. Let's look around my room and find something!"

"Sounds good!"

Emily goofed around in her drawers lookin' for somethin' to do, takin' out stuff, throwin' it on the floor, and movin' on. I got up from the beanbag I was sitting on and decided to look under her bed just in case.

"Woah!" I said with shock.

"What's up?" Emily asked.

"You have Hating Simulator 2 DX? I thought that was cancelled!"

"Yeah... wait, you know about dating games?"

"I got bored 'bout a year ago and watched a playthrough of the first game on YouTube on my phone."

"You had a phone back then?"

"I mean, kinda, I had some kinda drugstore smartphone. 20 bucks was a lot to spend back then..."

Emily giggled. "Well, are you interested in checking it out?"

"Eh, sure! We got nothin' better to do!"

"Guess I'll dust off the ol' PS1 then..."

"You got a PS1?"

"Yeah, my dad got it for me when I was a kid."

"Man, all I had as a kid was a Gameboy from the thrift store..."

"It's alright, at least you had something."

"I had no games for it."

"Oh..."

Em turned on the PS1 and put the disk in. We sat back down and the startup sound played like it usually does, at least according to those videos I watched back then. Em opened the game, and the title screen played. She then pressed start, and the game stopped.

"Dammit! The game crashed..." Em said, irritated.

"Back to square one, I guess..." I sighed.

Em got up to turn off the PS1, but we were startled by strange noises and flashing colors.

"Is this supposed to happen?" I asked.

"No...?" Emily replied.

Suddenly, I felt lots of pain in my everywhere.

"Wh-Wha-What's g-going on...?" I grunted.

"K-Keith?! Are you okay?" Emily looked super worried.

"Y-Yea, I-I'm fi-"

Then I blacked out.

Emily woke me up and looked frozen with fear and confusion.

"Why are you made of pixels?" I asked. "Why am I made of pixels?? Why is EVERYTHING made of pixels?!?!"

"Don't worry, we've only been trapped in the game." Emily replied.

"We've WHAT?!"

"It's ok! We just have to break the flow of the game to get out!"

"How?!"

"We'll find out."

Suddenly, there was a voice from behind us.
