A/N:  I had started playing Rival Stars Horse Racing, in there you have a guy rival in horse riding and so I came up with this idea for Lucifer and Alastor.  Hope you enjoy!

The rush one feels when running down the track, the pounding of hooves, the wind and dirt hitting one's face while the ride down the line to victory sent a rush of emotions throughout his body. The feel of winning against so many others was the best feeling in the world, and while Alastor Quinn made it past the finish line to secure his win for the derby race upon his stallion, Swift Husker. The crowd going both wild and booing as money was won and lost, raising his hands out while laughing as his black stallion shook its mane to bob it's head neighing loudly at their victory.  Hours later, Alastor was finished getting cleaned up as well as getting his winnings from a good day at the track, his Stallion was all brushed and cleaned up as well.

"Another fine day eh, Al?" The young man turned to face his fellow jockeys, a few of them held their jealousies over the new and upcoming Jockey who had returned to rebuild his families ranch. A few weeks Alastor had been working on building his reputation as well as training his horse to be a champion.

Alastor O'Quinn owned Legacy Stables after his Father had passed and his will reached out to him, he'd been living with his mother until she passed some years ago and when he was offered the land and home something within him came to the surface. He believed he was meant for greatness, first, it was working at taverns then it was working at the race rings before getting on one of those big beasts and winning every race up until now.  Now he was going to rebuild his family's stables, his horse was as good as he could get but breeding him with others horses to make winners. Back at the stables, his Father's advisor, Hank, and the woman working with breeding the horses was nicknamed, Niffty and for a time things seemed to be going well with restarting the program.

"You're Alastor O'Quinn? The heir to Legacy Stables," Alastor was in his riding pants with his jockey shirt over his shoulder to turn and face a man who was dressed as a prestigious gentleman. With a white suit, slick back blonde hair, and the smuggest expression upon his fair features, Alastor could only chuckle as he turned to face the other.

"Yes I am, and who might you be?"

"Suppose you wouldn't know, I am Lucien Magne, heir to Fairview Ranch-"

"Ah, you're Lou! Yes, I think some of the staff here mentioned you, say you're one of the best on the circuit! Well, I'll be the first to say that I'm coming for that trophy at the end of the track. My family will come back from this-" Lou laughed at that,

"Oh you will, will you? You may have come out of nowhere like some last resort to help this place but soon you'll know your place, till then Alastor." He turned on his heel while Hank came to stand behind Alastor looking all grumpy and disgruntled,

"He's going to be a problem that one, better watch yourself there, Al."

"Hmm... he's short, bet that's what gives him the advantage!"  Yes, Lucien Magne or Lou as he was known to his friends, rather talented Jockey and hadn't lost a race since he was young, his size and demeanor made him a prime rider and most were jealous of his Father's money and reputation. When it came to Alastor though, he wasn't going to back down so easily, going to the track to see that self-absorbed fool, he would give a side glance towards Alastor on his stallion. The two would get in the gates, the race would start and Alastor would show what he was made of as the horses took off down the track, hooves pounding while beasts were breathing heavily. Lou rode a white stallion named Morning Star, a magnificent horse, the two were side by side heading for the finish line, and in the final seconds before Lucien would cross the line, there he saw Alastor neck and neck with him.
