"Do you think she'll like this one?" Cam asked, holding up a blingy wedding ring.
"No. Too sparkly." I said.
I was trying to help him pick out a wedding ring for his girlfriend Megan. (See what I did there? If you didn't go check out my new FanFic Gunpower.)
"Why is this so hard?!" He sighed, picking out another ring.
"Because it's important. It's a massive step in your life and I'm really happy for you." I said, my voice cracking.
"Aw, you're like a little proud mommy." He said, coming over to hug me.
I just started crying.
"Wait? Are you actually like crying?" Cam said, pulling away.
I wiped my eyes but continued to cry.
"I change my mind I think she'll love that last one." I spluttered.

"Dude what the fuck?" Jack said, studying my red eyes and tear stained cheeks and pulling me into a hug.
"She just started crying, I didn't do anything." Cam defended himself, stepping down from the doorway.
"Okay." Jack said as Cam left.
"Al? What's wrong? You haven't been yourself lately at all? Is it work? Take a few days off." He said, closing the door behind us and taking me to the couch.
"I need you to go to the chemist and get something for me."
