On the run. The avengers

Part 2

The trip to the jeweler's shop is quickly made, when I get there I see that three men are robbing the jeweler store, but no police in the area are seen yet. I jump down from the building and land neatly with my legs crouched on the floor, one hand on the floor as well and one in the air for balance, then run the last bit to the jewelry shop. "You know it's not nice to steal, don't you?" I ask the thieves when I stand in the doorway. The thieves turn around in shock and look at me up and down and then started laughing. "And what do you think you could do, you are on your own and there are three of us" says one of the men.

"Come on out and I'll show you" I replied back with a mischievous smile. The men did not appreciate this and the leader of the group indicated that the other two should continue with what they were doing and that he would handle me, little did they know.

The man came running towards me with a knife in his hands that he had taken from its holder and tried to injure me. I ducked out of the way and made a lasso of light and wrapped the lasso around his legs and pulled it so that he fell. "You're one of those freaks" the man shouted angrily and called the other two to help him. They also took a knife and one of them had a gun. The man with the gun pointed his weapon at me and started firing, just in time I managed to activate my force-field and the shots were blocked. I knew I had to be quick because the police would be coming any minute now. I decided to give them a little shock with my lighting power that would hopefully knock them unconscious. It worked an then I tied the thieves together to a rack attached to the ground and attached a note saying these men were trying to robe the jeweler and then quickly ran away from the robbery when I heard the sirens approaching fast.

I watched from a distance as the officers took the men and talked about how and who had done this. The men who had been arrested said that a monster had done this, knowing that he was actually right, but I also knew that I was doing the best I could with what was given to me.

While I was still sitting on the roof in the shadows watching the scene in front of me, my thoughts began to turn to my time with Hydra.

I was five years old when my parents were murdered before my eyes. My father was a university professor and my mother was a high-ranking government official. Not that I realized that at the age of five, no, I found that out in my file that they hid at Hydra office from me.

I will never forget the routine I had there, little food and drink in the morning, then combat training, then off to the lab to be experimented on and then see what the injections did, oh and what did each injection that they hurt even though they didn't do anything it always hurt. After the experiment, go back to combat training, language lessons, hacking lessons and more. By the age of ten I had gathered the courage to flee and was almost out of base when I was shot in the leg and then a blow to the head caused the light to go out. The second time I tried to flee she sent me to Russia to the Red Room there for three years. When I came back I still wouldn't listen so they put me in cryo for two years. When I came out of Cryo I was still 13 years old and I got the same routine as before, but if I wouldn't listen now I got punished, and the punishment I got there was not nothing. I was either whipped, or they kept me underwater for a long time, they stabbed me, broke my bones etc. I also received training from the winter soldier after I came out of cryo, the thoughts alone give me goosebumps again, the shivers run down my back when I think about it. That man was merciless, I don't know how many times I just hardly survived a training with him.

I remember one morning I was taken to the lab early in the morning and tied to the cold table. Von Strucker stood next to the table with a smile "oh my dear Lynn, my heart beats faster when I see you all the time, you are a fighter and I love that, now just make sure you do it for us and not against us." he said as he grabbed my chin hard. I pulled my face away from him to get loose and then spat in his face "I will never fight for you" I yelled at him whereupon he slapped me in the face. "start the brain implant" Von Strucker chanted with a hand gesture and walked out of the room "no, no, no" I screamed and tears ran down my cheeks. They had already taken so much from me I didn't want them to take my own will. Apparently something strange happened during the operation. Apparently when they wanted to inject the implant into my brain, there appeared to be a white glow over my brain that the doctors could not see through. Apparently some of the injections had done something, but they didn't know what. I was injected more and more after that and the training got harder and harder, they would get my powers out at any cost. In the end they succeeded, my powers were known and Von Strucker was only too happy about it. The training now specialized in controlling my powers.

At the age of fifteen my body had some kind of seizure, I started sweating and felt sick, but the training continued. One of the doctors noticed a change in me and went to do tests, it turned out that I was giving off some kind of nuclear radiation of me and it appeared to be getting higher by the day. They decided to put me in a special room hoping they would find a way to get rid of the radiation. Eventually I couldn't contain that energy anymore and I exploded, a large amount of energy flew out of my body and brought the entire Hydra facility down to the ground. I remember waking up to only see the broken building around me, everything was in ruins. I got up with shaky legs and looked around me again. In the distance I heard a helicopter approaching and tried to run as fast as possible towards the forest. In the forest I climbed a tree and looked out to where the Hydra base used to be. Von Strucker came out of the helicopter and I heard him talking to one of his chief officers, they had to search everything and find me. I tried to be as quiet as I could. A few hours later I heard the men say they couldn't find me, but von Strucker was sure I was still alive and would do everything he could to find me. That is why I still be very carefull, I will not go back there.

Now five years later they still haven't found me. Well, they found me a few years ago after Loki and the Chintauri attacked New York City and I was helping people. Apparently I was featured in footage so I decided to leave New York. Now I came back because I wanted to go to school and the best school is here, I wanted to experience what it is like to go to school as well, I've been doing all my studies online for the last few years from different states and countries always on the go. Now after I heard that Hydra is almost eliminated I came back to chase my dream and now I'm at Colombia University and I have made friends myself, I get a smile on my face when I think about that. But I also know that I have to be careful, even though Hydra has taken a hit, they are never completely gone. When I suddenly hear a surprised reaction, I get out of my thoughts and look at the scene in front of me where the thieves have already been removed from the place but the police are still investigating. I see two of the avengers Black Widow and Hawkeye walk up to the police officers and hear them talking about what happened right here. The police officers tell exactly what they saw when they got here, what the thieves said and the note they found. The two thanked the officers and then walked away and spoke through their earphones and told what they had seen and heard, telling Lynn that they hadn't found whoever did this but that she might still be around. This didn't feel good to Lynn and she decided to quietly move away from the scene and go home.
