Wonyoung opened her eyes. The light streaming in from the crack in the curtain shone harshly into her eyes and she immediately shut them. Groaning softly, she tried to lift her arms to stretch but was stopped by the weight on them.

Opening her eyes slightly, she found herself in the arms of the girl she had been spending so much time with recently.

Sighing in contentment, she buried her face into the older girl's neck and breathed in her scent. The older girl's soothing vanilla scent invaded her senses and made her feel sleepy again.

As if the older had sensed that the younger was awake, she grunted and shifted slightly.

"Nyongie, Nyongie..." The girl mumbled the younger's name, voice lower than usual since she hadn't fully woken up yet.

"I need to make breakfast, Jinnie. I won't take that long." Wonyoung spoke softly, seeing that the older was drifting back off to sleep.

"Ten more minutes..."

Wonyoung smiled as the athlete used her leg to pull her closer, closing the small gap between their bodies and not allowing her to go anywhere.

"Are you cold?" The older girl never opened her eyes, but there was a faint smile on her lips as she waited for the younger's answer.

"No." Wonyoung breathed, studying the older's face—the slightly chapped lips, the closed eyes, the faintly dimpled cheeks, the little button-like nose.

"But I am."

Wonyoung frowned and sat up.

"Of course you're cold, you accidentally kicked off the blanket in your sleep." Wonyoung chuckled slightly as she adjusted the blanket to cover both of them, while the older girl's lips formed an angry pout when the younger let go of her embrace momentarily.

"...hold me."

It was a simple request by the athlete, but the younger's heart still fluttered. She lay back down beside Yujin and gently embraced her, long arms pulling the girl closer to her. Yujin nuzzled into her neck warmly.

Although the latter's eyes were closed, Wonyoung could tell she wasn't really sleeping.

As they both enjoyed each other's mere presence, the athlete's stomach growled softly, breaking the silence. Wonyoung chuckled.

"You're hungry? I'll go make breakfast okay? Sleep for a while more."

Instead of getting off the bed from her side and walking around it, the younger girl rolled on top of Yujin, issuing a little whine from the said girl. Wonyoung leaned down a little and pecked the girl's cheek before rolling off and exiting the room.

Yujin's eyes shot open as she smiled like an idiot, caressing the area where Wonyoung had kissed her. She hugged Wonyoung's pillow, inhaling her addicting honey scent.

Unable to fall asleep without the younger beside her, Yujin reluctantly got up and shuffled over to the door. She crept down the stairs soundlessly and made her way to the kitchen. Wonyoung was standing by the stove, struggling to flip a pancake.

Yujin wrapped her arms around the girl in a back hug and rested her chin on top of her shoulder.

"That smells good."

The younger girl flinched violently and leaned against the counter. "Don't do that, you scared me!" She playfully whacked the older's shoulder and turned back to the pancakes.

"Do you want maple syrup? It's in the fridge." Wonyoung gestured towards the refrigerator as she slapped the last pancake onto the plate and set the small mountain of food on the table. Yujin took out the bottle of maple syrup and they began to eat.
