The bell rang, the loud sound bouncing off the walls of every classroom in the school compound.
Yujin's eyes immediately shot open. She glanced at the screen and saw that the class had already moved onto the next worksheet while she had been slumped asleep on her desk.
Wonyoung sat next to her, peering out of the window with her chin in her hands. Her reaction had been similar to Yujin's when the bell had rung. She had obviously not been focusing either. The difference was that from the hastily scribbled notes in Yujin's notebook, it was obvious that she had tried and failed to pay attention. However, an hour ago when Wonyoung had plopped into her seat, she immediately turned to chat with Yujin, disregarding the teacher's instructions to pay attention for the lesson as it was important.
Wonyoung turned to the older sitting beside her. She pouted.
"You fell asleep! I got bored since there was no one to talk to..."
"Sorry." Yujin chuckled as she squished the younger's cheeks with her palms. "I'll buy you ice cream later, okay?"
At the mention of ice cream, the taller's eyes immediately lit up, all the gloominess gone in an instant.
"Thank you Jinnie!"
They packed their bags and got ready to leave. Through the clear glass window, Yujin saw a few familiar faces.
"No Yena, don't speak, you'll embarrass us." The brown haired immediately shut Yena up when she saw the girl open her mouth. She reached over to pinch both of the youngest's cheeks affectionately.
"How was class? Are you ready to go home?" Chaeyeon pushed Yena over to step closer to the two younger girls.
"Yes, Yujinie said she's buying me ice cream!" Wonyoung replied brightly, earning a few mixed responses from the 9 girls in front of her.
"Aww, Yudings! You didn't invite me?"
"Eyy, y'all are like a couple already!"
"Treat me to ice cream too!"
Yujin only smiled as she silently eyed the girls in front of her. She quickly noticed the absence of one girl, though.
"Where's Eunbi?" She frowned and allowed a little, barely noticeable pout form on her lips.
"I don't know, she's coming home late today though. Student council stuff I guess." Hyewon shrugged and took a sip of her coffee milk.
"Okay, y'all go home first then, Chae has the keys right?"
All eleven of them had moved into Wonyoung's house. There were enough spare rooms for them to share in pairs. It made Yujin wonder why Wonyoung had insisted on them sharing a room the very first time she had slept over there.
Wonyoung had four sets of spare keys, so she gave one to the more reliable people—Chaeyeon and Eunbi. She had wanted to give one to Hitomi as the girl seemed to be responsible, but decided against it when she saw how often Yena liked to prank the young Japanese, and was afraid that the duck-like girl would hide the keys somewhere as a joke—and end up forgetting where she had put them. She decided to give the keys to Hyewon, only because the girl didn't stay over as often as the others since she had to take care of her younger sister at home. Wonyoung sincerely hoped that it had not been a bad decision.
Of course, Yujin got the last set of keys. There were times where the girl would have hastily scheduled practices in the morning, or would leave afternoon practices much earlier or later than scheduled, depending on their coach's mood that day. Since there was no fixed time Yujin would get home, she got the keys too.
