chapter no 15

Zero and Kai lay on the queen-sized bed. "get your leg off me." zero told him.
"I can't sleep, zero."
"Close your eyes and you'll fall asleep." zero told him.
"can I hug you please?" Kai asked him. "no."
"Please." he made puppy eyes.
"OK. For a little while."
And Kai closed the distance between them, his arm over him. Kai was asleep after a while and zero stared at the ceiling.

In the morning they met in the hall. Zero's unstyled hairs made him look gorgeous. Kai played with Zero's hair"you can touch my hairs but don't mess it up."
while Hiro discussed the plan with him. Maria played on Hiro's lap. His hand in hers.
"Maria get up, we have to get going," he told her and they packed their stuff to leave.
Kai was still in his night suit while all three of them had changed. Hiro tied his shoelace and Maria tied her black hair in a braid.
While they walked down the road Maria took out the map from her bag which she tore from her dad's journal. Trying to figure out the map when she bumped in Hiro. "little wife, watch where you're going." he teased her as he snatched the map from her. "let's see what's in here."
"give it back." she jumped to take the map which he held high. She tried again but he held her in mid-air. His arms around her making her heartbeat race at his Sudden move. Her feet off the ground.
"I wish we weren't out in public." hiro spoke.
"who said public?" Kai was trying to keep up with zero.
The sun dipped beneath the horizon when they stopped in a small village located in a beautiful valley. They decided to stay in a hotel for the night which was empty except for few statues which maria assumed looked like decorations. Maria and Hiro put their bags in a room where they were gonna stay, Zero wanted to have a separate room but Kai insisted that he stayed with him cause he was afraid to be alone. Despite being the oldest he was still a small kid.
Hiro and maria went hunting cause they were craving the blood for a while and they were going nuts. Kai was asleep besides Zero who took out his phone to check his horoscope of the day.
Aries
For the second day, your feeling romantic, nostalgic, and oh so fond of falling asleep with an old scrapbook or journal in your arm. Recognize what your going through and call someone who can help you relive it positively.
"Even the stars are going against me today. Why would I feel romantic," he told himself. He switched off his mobile phone and played beside a snoring Kai. He gazed down Kai's beautiful sleeping face, his lustrous hairs brushed down his forehead. Zero assumed Kai looked cute when he slept with his mouth open.

Luis stood behind her his arms wrapped around her his chin on her shoulder as they watched the sun sunk behind the mountains.
"I guess we should be going," he spoke as he spun her around to look her in the eyes.
"Hiro."
"Hmm."
"When did you know that it was me?"
"At the party when you thought I was drunk, and you were gonna feed of me. Thank Lia that she came on time and you backed up." His expression darkened when he realized that Lia was no longer with them.
"You miss your family, don't you?" She asked her knowing the answer.
"I do. I miss my friends. My family." he told her.

Kai was awake when maria and Hiro returned with two deer in their arms. Zero walked out of the room, eyes half-opened his hairs all messed up sticking In Every position."hey" he spoke in his sleepy voice.

The night was restless maria tossed in the bed after every five minutes. Hiro was asleep next to her. Maria didn't know what time she drifted to sleep but that wasn't any better. She dreamed herself standing in the same caved walls the area was dimly lit by the moonlight.
Mr. James stood in front, the silhouette who was no longer hidden, it appeared the person was Hiro who charged towards him...
Maria woke up not believing what she saw, angry, helpless, shocked full of emotion. not for a moment that she thought that his dad had died. She walked out of the hotel into the moonlight as she inhaled the cold air. Pitch black sky spread over her with thousands of twinkling stars.
"You okay?" Zero asked.
"Yeah." Her voice shakey.
"You know you can't lie to, my little sister."
"Just a day younger than you older brother." And they both let out a small laugh.
Maria wasn't Zero's biological sister but he had been treating her like his own sister.
"I'll wait until you are ready to tell me ." Despite being afar for years from each other zero still loved her as he did ten years ago. They would play sword fighting, horse riding together. They even took swimming lessons together unlike Hiro whose parents feared that he won't survive in the vampire world cause he was half-human. Until the day they gathered at the royal ball and maria met cute handsome, fearless Hiro. Their families decided to get them engaged to unite the two lands.
"Can I lean on your shoulder for a while zero?" She asked him.
"Hmm."
She closed her eyes as she rested her head on his broad shoulder. before she even realized she was asleep.
"Maria!" He spoke after some time but she was deep in her sleep. Zero picked her up and laid her down beside Hiro who was also asleep.

"You smoke?" Kai asked Zero who stood at the balcony his arms on the railings as he held the smoking  cigarettes between his fingers." you know it's not good." Kai continued trying to take it from him.
"Give it to me," Kai demanded
"Why you want to smoke too." Zero teased him.
"Are you nuts? Why on earth do you even take it. It will give you nothing but lung cancer." He tells him grabbing the cigarettes from him.
