Chapter No 5

Today Maria turned 1. Leon held a grand ceremony for her daughters birthday. But something was bothering the king. "honey is every thing okay?" Lydia asked putting a hand on his husband's shoulder.
"I'm just worried obut Maria."
"nothing can happen to her while we are alive."

They were still standing in the same position, principal who was giving a tour of the school to her guests saw them.
"students." she called for them. Maria was about to move when luis grabbed her shoulders.

Without hearing explanation principal suspended them for 3 days.
Wow a suspantion letter on the 2nd day of school. Part of her thought she was cool. But then she thought on what bases she got it and didn't felt so great. She never thought she'd stand so close to that devil.

Maria didn't know why she named him devil but she thought the name suited him.
Luis asked if she wanted to go with him. But she rejected the offer saying she'll  be good on her own. She wanted to go with him cause it was her least favorite task to walk home in broad sunlight but she had senced if someone has been watching her all day, she didn't want innocent to be involved in her matters.
When Maria  got home she  made her self cheese sandwich .Maria  left it half eaten when she heard the door bell.
She  wasn't expecting Lia at her house.
"hi" Lia  greeted Maria with a small hug.
" nobody ever visits me. But it's great to see you." Maria speaks guiding Lia in her house.
Maria gave her friend a house tour, after they prepared some snacks and watched vampire romance movie.
Lia gave Maria his brother and her  phone number in case she needed them. Now Maria had three contacts in her contact list.

2. devil
3. Lia
Lia found it funny when she saw her writing devil for the name of Luis phone number.
She was trying hard not to laugh but they both burst in to laughter when Maria saw her.
Lia stayed for dinner at maria's house.
After she left maria went to her room .laying on her bed she took out her phone from her shorts front poket .
'Good night ' a message from her father.as always.
She slipped her phone back in her pocket when she saw a silhouette of a person in the balcony. She got up from her bed. But he probably saw her coming.Maria chased him,even though he was faster than her.
He stopped at the entrance of the grave yard and made her do the same.

He grabbed her by the neck lifting her off the ground .it became hard for maria to breathe. She kicked him in the stomach making him stumble backwards,she fell on the ground and her knee hit the rock."ouch."she says under her breath.
She got up and kicked him in his face but he only moved a inch back.He charged towards her throwing a punch at her face ,her nose started to bleed.Maria wiped the blood with the back of her hand.she lifted her head but he wasnt infront. He grabbed her neck from behind,his pointy nails digging in her flesh. Suddenly he released his grip on her neck . Maria saw some one standing behind the masked man.
"Are you okay?"he asked in a hoarse voice.
