Today is our graduation day. Thank god, I was a smart student for this. I have made my grandmother proud. Michael was at the back of me, because of one year of teaching him in some lessons and convince him to put effort in shit. As we sit to our chairs, we were waiting for our names to get called.
"Where are you going in college?" I ask Michael. I knew my friends have left me already for reasons. Maybe they're actually moving or just wanted me to go away from their life. It was kind of difficult. Leaving somebody important. In the end, they are just like Ashton. He left but maybe God made somebody who was better or at least, like him. It was Michael. "Are you moving?""Nope," He sighs. "I passed a cool university here."
"Same," I let out a small laugh and we heard his name get called. Michael Gordon Clifford. He stood up and march (not really) towards the stage to recieve his medal and diploma.
"Thank you for letting me finish this hellhole called school and to all fuckers who told me I won't make this, fu-" His 'speech' was cut off and proudly (because of the speech and getting an award) went back to his seat.
"And for our salutatorian, Eleanor Parkinson!" They called my name. It was me.

After the graduation, I went to find Michael and his friends. My aunt, who is looking proud, waited for me.
"Hey, Mikey," I said and called him by his nickname. He was with his friends.
"You didn't tell us you got a girlfriend!" Calum said jokingly. "You know, congrats. For having this motherfucker your boyfriend."
"Yeah," Luke agreed. "He was basically a fucking nerd in the first year and we helped him out. See that? That's my lip ring. I told him to get one."
"But on the eyebrows." Michael added.
"That isn't allowed!" I laughed.
"We take it off during class..." They said. Their parents took us pictures, including my aunt, and we made a group hug.
"I feel like a slut." I muttered between our hug.
"You are." Luke said.
"Except you are Michael's slut." Calum added.
"Unless you won't shut up, I will fuck you right in your asshole." Michaek said. "Just kidding."
"No homo."
All of us ate in one restaurant. It was fun since their parents didn't actually mind if I was the only girl there. "At least the boys will be gentlemen, right?" Mr. Hemmings laughed. The other parents too.
"Mum!" Calum blushed with embarrassment. "Stop showing me baby pictures!" We were all laughing. He used to be cute when he was younger and looked so inoccent.
"Meet me in the bathroom." Michael mouthed. I got up and said, Excuse me before leaving to the bathroom.
And he followed.
"What's this for?" I asked.
"Can we do a little kissing?" He asked again. "I mean, nothing more. Nothing less. Unless you want to, you know."
"Bu-" Michael cuts me off with a kiss. We were inside a PWD comfort room.
"I love you so fucking much." He said. "See you in college. I'm gonna wait until we get married and have like, two kids."
"I love you too" I replyed. He started crying. "Stop crying. Are you sad?"
"I'm glad you came to my life and you don't know how much it meant for me." He said and hugged me really tight.

Sometimes I think that I used to fuck things up by doing what's not to do. I read a book and there was a question asked. Are you willing to make others happy even if you get hurt?. I tried answering it but nothing happened.
After a couple years, I fucked up. Because my grandmother got sick and died. Because I cheated on Ashton. That's when I realize it.
Ashton made me happy. He tried everything to make us be together again. He was hurt seeing me happy with Michael but he told me once when we skyped, that he did everything to make me happy. He answered the question.
But then I remembered he was my past. Not like he's dead. But he's gone. Away from me. Then Michael came to my life. There he was, drinking vodka and smoking.
I ignored every clue that he liked me. I thought we were just fuck buddies. I thought. Then my grandmother died but he was there for me. Even when Ashton and I broke up, he was still there. But I got upset when I knew that he liked me, not as a friend. Until some time he got beaten up and I saw him, lying there and asking for help. That was when I changed my mind from ignoring him. He was there.
And I hope he'll always be.
