David was deadass shocked about everything she had told him. His brain couldn't fully function or grasp the words he was just told. She hadn't even gotten to the miscarriage yet, she was saving that part for last. It wasn't even the most bitter part, it was the fact that her child was the one she had the longest. 6 months for her pregnancy and she lost her child. Raven couldn't even think of how to tell him, how would he react to her having lost her child?
"So let me get this straight: y-you're a human-hybrid. You're from another Earth that's destroyed. You're name is Raven. You had a fiance who was a replica of myself? And he's dead. And there is a crisis coming?"
"Correct."
"Uh- anything else you need to talk about?"
"Uh, I- today I had to get an abortion. "
"What? Wait, you were pregnant?"
"6 months. She was my longest pregnancy. I lost so many children within 3 months. This time she lasted longer but, i- I don't know what happened. She died early in this moment. In the morning I should say. And we had to get rid of the body. So it was a miscarriage. I was so close to becoming a mother but something happened and I'm- I can't be a fucking mom."
"I- I am so sorry"
"What could have you done?"
"Just... why didn't you tell me?"
"And risk having you dead? No way. That's too much to bear. If they found out who I was they'd kill you in a heartbeat just because you associated with me."
"But what about you?"
"I don't care. I lost everything I had, and I'm not sure if I'm ready to lose you. "
"Why? Do you- what?"
"David I Iove you! Okay? I- I wanna be with you. B- but I know, especially now probably, you don't wanna be with me. Okay? I- I get it. I'm just, I'm weird and I lied. And that will not make me change about how I feel about you but I know it changed your perspective on me. And if you don't want to be apart of my life anymore, I get it. I just won't be able to leave you behind easily. "
"Diana... R-Raven, you know that's not true. But this is not easy for me to take. I need time to digest all of this, okay? But I promise you, I will come back. Just give me time to fully swallow this. Okay?"
"Okay."
"I'm not gonna leave your side, ever. You just need to let me think this through fully. Please. I will come back. Just let me think."
"Okay. I'm so sorry."
"For what?"
"Everything..."
Hearing her say that busted his heart a little. He loved her to pieces and yet he couldn't digest anything she had told him. She had hidden so much, just to protect him? Just cause she loves him? How can anyone do this out of love? Out of pain? What all is this for? Her heart was gone after today. She knew deep down in her heart that he wasn't gonna return. But for reasons, well they were unknown.
