The day of the date came. The two met up and went to a Pub together. While Raven didn't drink, she did love to dance for a while. So they danced for a long time. Raven didn't know what to think, it's been a long time since she had ever dated someone. Mostly cause she never thought she would ever date another person after Azar. David wasn't new to the whole ordeal. He dated many woman in the past And while none of them worked, he was hoping this one, if it blossomed into that, would.  While the two of them had gone out on "dates" with each other before, they never went out on one that was meant to be romantic. They didn't plan on it. Before all they wanted was just a good friendship and hide their feelings. Maybe for good. Now, they wanted to be together and be with each other. They knew it wasn't gonna happen overnight, but they wanted to give this a shot. After a long time of dancing, they went out to a balcony and hung out. They talked, laughed, stayed in silence, and took time to understand each other.

"Wait, so let me get this straight. This version of me you were supposed to marry actually wanted to have kids and wanted to be a dad?"

"Well it was both of our dreams to become parents, yes."

"What? Ew! How could he have wanted children. Like, how?"

"Beats me. I guess he was 100% different from you. "

"How many times did you try to conceive a kid?"

"Over one hundred times."

"One hundred?! What the hell?"

"Over one hundred."

"God! How were you able to do that?!"

"Within eight years of course. Maybe over a thousand."

"A thousand?!?! You can't have possibly done that."

"I never counted."

"And how many of those were successful?"

"Fifteen to thirty of those conceptions were almost successful but only one lasted more than 3 months. None of them survived."

"Damn. I'm so sorry."

"How would you feel if we... you know... and I gave birth during so?"

"In the relationship? Shocked that I would be a father cause I do not want kids at all."

"That's fair. Can't be a mother anyway. So you don't have to worry about that."

"Yeah. That's great, I guess."

The two of them chatted for a while more. They learned about each other and their Earths. They were both shocked at how different they were. Earth 1 was not at all like Earth 48, and vice versa. They clicked so well somehow even though they were different from one another. And as midnight rolled around the corner, David got struck with a question.

"Hey. The other day when I was at your house, about to leave, you kissed me. We weren't in a relationship and just friends and we may still be. May I ask why you did such thing?"

"On my Earth, it was a custom tradition. If you felt any romantic interest towards a person, you would walk up to them and kiss them. If they kiss you back and stay for a few minutes, it means they feel the same. If they pull away right off, they don't see you as potential. I wanted to tell you that I see you as that but you pulled away after a moment. I thought you didn't like it. Is it not traditional here?"

"I did. Quite a lot actually. But it's not a thing here. "

"Really? Wow. That's shocking to me actually. "

"Which one?"

"Both."

"Well, if you don't mind, would you like to try again?"

And so they kissed each other under a pale moonlight. It wasn't how they expected the night to go, but they really loved each other so much, they were willing to give it a shot and become a relationship. I guess you could say that this story had a perfect happy ending for them. But it would be a lie. For this story is far from over with these two. In fact, it's just begun.
