01; i missed you

I got up to the sound of my annoying ass alarm and heard talking downstairs. I hurried realizing that it was my girlfriend Madison and my mom. little recap, they don't get along, well my mom doesn't really like Madison.

"I came to give Corbyn a ride to school. I want us to have a good, fresh start for senior year" I heard Mads says all cheery. She's adorable.

"how thoughtful" my mom replied. I could just hear the sarcasm.

I'm not sure why my mom doesn't like Madison. She's always been kind to me and treated me well. Anyways as Madison said, today's the first day of our senior year and I don't know whether to be nervous or excited. All I know is that I wasn't ready for summer to end.

I got to spend the whole summer on a cruise and meet a pretty girl. I was living a dream. Even if it meant being away from my mom and all my friends. At least I finally get to see Eri-

"How about you stop listen to the conversation and go save your girlfriend from mom" my sister Ashley said interrupting my thoughts.

"You know Ash, you're probably right" I say while quickly getting ready

I get downstairs and see my mom faking her smile while Madison is blabbering about summer.

"Ahh Corbyn there you are" my mom says sounding relieved.

"Hey baby"  I go to give Madison a peck on her lips. "Ready to go?".

"Yup, all ready. Bye Mrs. Besson!"

"Goodbye. Have a good first day sweety" she said giving me a kiss on the cheek.

I haven't been able to catch up with my mom since I got back. She looks good and happier since before I left. Which was actually the reason I even agreed to go on the trip. Too much shit happened I needed to get away.

"Babe? Did you hear me?" Mads said.

I did it again.

"Uh, sorry babe I just got lost in my thoughts" I said as we walked in hand in hand.

"No biggie, I just said I hope we have classes together"

"Oh yea, that'd be great"

It really would. My grades aren't the best and Mads is really smart. She could help me get them back up in time for graduation.

We part ways to got to our lockers which are pretty far from one another. As I was putting some of my books and my jacket in my locker I heard a bang against the lockers beside me. I immediately smile knowing who it is.

"Not even a text telling me you got back. I had to find out by coming over here" Erica says annoyed

man I've missed her.

"Oh come here you" I say picking her up and spinning her around in a hug.

"I've missed you Besson"

"I've missed you too Jones"

"You better tell me every little detail about your little cruise sir or we're gonna have a problem you and I" she says holding her finger up to my face.

I giggle knowing that she means that. I can't wait to tell her about it all, especially Madison.

Ahhh it feels good to have him back. I mean don't get me wrong I sooooo enjoyed spending the summer with my other friends, but nothing beats Corbyn's company.

He better tell me everything about his summer while I make him jealous that he wasn't here with me and our friend group.

He missed a lot actually. Jonah and Sierra started dating. Two people I never would've thought, one being a party animal, the other being hella responsible. Jack and Alyssa still hate each other but that's nothing new. Daniel has hooked up with so many girls (including Luna) that I lost count. Zach has tried to flirt with every girl in the friend group and failed. Except with Julia who flirts back. They'll probably end up hooking up or something. And then there's little old me who still hasn't even had her first kiss but what can you do.

Just as Corbyn giggled at me totally being serious about him filling me in, someone I never thought I'd talk to again walked up to us. Madison Turner.

Ugh I can't stand her. Mainly because she made my life a living hell in middle school. And if you think I'm being dramatic, you try having a video go viral of you getting raw fish poured on your head and all over your dress and the school dance. It's not fun.

She's probably coming to make fun of my hair or outfit or something. But I was proven wrong when she completely walked past me and went to Corbyn.

Did I miss something?

"Ok I just got our schedules and we literally have no classes together." She says to him. Why would he care?

"Seriously?! we had like all the same courses"

Maybe he does care.

"Ahem" I say loud enough that both turn their heads.

"Oh yea, Madison, this is my best friend Erica. Erica this is my girlfriend Madison"

I'm sorry what?

"Girlfriend?" I say sounding more jealous then I intended

"Well well well, Erica Jones. Long time no see" she says pulling me into a hug.

Ew I can tell she's being fake, putting up the nice act infront of her bOyFrIeNd

"Haha yeaaaaa"

The bell rings, thankfully, saving me from that dreadful reunion with Madison Turner.

"Well I'm off to English and I'll see you too at lunch" Corbyn says a little awkward. I think even he can tell the uncomfortableness that is this conversation.

"I actually have English too" I say a little too cheerfully. Mainly because I loved seeing the angered face Madison was making.

"Sweet. I guess I'll see you later babe" he says pecking her lips

Gross.

Now I'm gonna have to deal with Madison Turner again.
