03; she hasn't changed

It's Thursday and I finished that lab I got Monday with no struggle. It was literally the easiest thing I've done and I stressed so much for nothing.

Oh well.

The weeks been pretty easy so far as everyone is getting settled into the new year. Everything and everyone has been pretty chill and everyone's getting along as per usual. Well except me and Corbyn. I feel bad avoiding him but then again he didn't care about my feelings when he decided to bring Madison Turner in our friend group.

We sit in the same group but I don't talk or look his way. He's supposed to be one of my best friends and he just goes ahead and starts dating the girl who literally made my life hell.

It all started with me refusing to give her my class notes cause it's not my problem she wasn't paying attention. Since then she did things like key my dads car, take my clothes and towel while I was in the school shower. I sat there and cried until Sierra came and gave me a towel when she saw me.

She would post false rumors about me online saying I slept with a bunch of guys, which lead to me having to deal with almost everyone calling me a slut.

As I'm reminiscing all the horrible things she's done I see Corbyn approach me and decide not to avoid him this time and listen.

"Hey Jules, please don't walk away" he opens with "I really think we should talk"

"Fine. What's up"

"Look when I met Madison on the cruise I didn't even think or remember the shit she did to you. As I talked to her basically the whole trip, she was nice and caring which leads me to believe she's changed"

I scoff. That's rich.

"I won't pressure you to be her friend because I don't wanna put you in an uncomfortable position. I'm sorry I even did in the first place" he paused

"I just-"

"Corbyn. Don't worry about it, it's whatever." I interrupt him

It's really not but I'm gonna have to live with it. At the end of the day she makes him happy some how.

"Really? Because I really didn't mean to hurt you in anyway"

"Corbyn seriously it's good, she makes you happy and that's what matters."

"Yea she does." He says smiling.

Gross

"I mean I always thought we'd be having this whole girlfriend conversation about Erica, but what can you do"

And with that I walk away not wanting to hear his response.

Why would she think that?

I mean sure she's my best friend and we're close but I don't think we'd go there.

And with that Erica walks up to me.

"What are you staring at Besson?"

Guess I was staring off into space.

"Oh nothing just thinking"

"O-kay. Everything good?" she says concerned.

"Yea yea, all good over here. Hey you going to Bretts party tomorrow" I ask her.

Knowing what happened last time I don't think she will.

"I'm debating but the girls will probably end up dragging me there. You?"

"Yea I'll be there. I'll be ready to kick your ass in beer pong again" I joke

"Ohhh you wish Besson, you and I both know I whooped your ass last time" she says poking my side.

I poke her back and she flinches and starts laughing. Then we started doing it back and forth to eachother laughing like crazy. I was on the verge of tears.

"Um Corbyn, we should be going" I hear Madison say causing me and Erica to stop and stare in her direction.

I see Ericas smile drop and her eyes roll. I don't know why Madison said we had to go. Did we have a date or something planned?

"Go where?" I asked. Not the best idea since she got mad I forgot.

"You said you wanted to take me to this cool bowling alley today" she replied.

Oh rightttt

"Ah yes, it's so sick. You know that glow in the dark one we would always go to?" I say turning to Erica. We used to go all the time sophomore year and I'd win every time. Anytime that place is brought up Erica gets annoyed.

"Oh god how could I forget it" she says groaning tilting her head back. See.

"Haha it's all good Ric. Ooh maybe you and the others can come along. I'll kick your ass just like old times"

"Haha you don't know that, I could've practiced this summer while you were gone"

I laughed loudly. Then my phone started ringing and it was my mom so I excused myself from the girls to take it.

Corbyn walked away to take a call from his mom, leaving me with Madison. Great.

I awkwardly smile and wave goodbye at her as she stands there looking at me with her RBF. I gotta learn to deal with the fact that this girls gonna be around more. I go to walk away when I feel a hard tug on my arm.

"I don't care if you're his best friend, this was supposed to be a date" she says angrily.

Ohh this bitch is getting on my last nerves.

"Let go of me." I told her. No way I'm gonna let her try and boss me around and not let me hang out with Corbyn because 'he's hers'. Give me a break.

"See you tonight" I say loud with a smile just to be bitchy and walk away towards the back doors. Ugh why does he have to date such a-

"Woah you ok" I hear Jack say standing in front of me. Guess I looked just as angry.

"Yea just Madison. Oh by the way Corbyn invited us to that bowling place on 5th street tonight."

"Sweet sounds good to me. I'll text the group chat later" "Oh and the girls are at the skatepark, I'm headed there myself if you want a ride."

"Pretty small board for both of us Avery." I say smiling.

"Oh trust me we'll be fine. Hop on"

I did as he said and we actually were fine. It was both fun and safe to say the least.

I get off and walk over to the girls where I hear Julia telling them about her talking to Corbyn. I had heard the conversation and I texted her about it so I already knew.

"I don't know he claims she changed" she says shrugging.

"she hasn't changed" I said budding in.

Wait till they hear this one.

I just realized I have been calling Alyssa, Jenna this whole time because that's what I was gonna name her🤦‍♀️

Y'all I'm sorry, anytime it says "Jenna" it's supposed to be Alyssa✋

Also guys I'm so happy I finally finished 1/2 of my big assignments😅 also I have only half of the second one to do which meanssss

I'll be able to upload morrrreeee🤪

Also very excited for France to play tomorrow for the Euro Cup. I'm not French but them and Italy are my favourites so I'm routing for them😆
