"Silly Superstitions"

An hour before the wedding...
Weddings, ideally, were events that occurred only once in a lifetime. It wouldn't be an understatement to say that the sequences leading up to the ceremony were less stable than after it.
Akaashi felt his anxiety bubbling up, he had been fiddling with his fingers for the uptenth time since this morning. He had not seen you since last night since you were whisked away by your girl friends to a lavish spa where you'd be pampered, as per his request of course. However your absence was still affecting him greatly. Unwanted thoughts of something going wrong threatening his composure by the minute.
'Maybe she's not ready... After all, before we dated, she made it clear that she wasn't one for commitment...' He bit his lip to keep himself from frowning, a habit he developed between your period of dating. After you accepted his confession, he found himself smiling more and wanting to stop himself from frowning so idly.
Wanting to save face, especially from the over-ecstatic owl-man and equally-temperamental hyena, amongst other groomsmen, Akaashi took to the balcony of the groom's lounge to recollect himself.
The ravenette leaned against the railings of the balcony, his eyes trailing the surface of the sky with no particular objective but to ease some peace of mind into him.
He longed to see you as soon as possible, to have you run into his arms and celebrate the onset of a new chapter of your lives together. How he would love to wake up every morning and find you next to him, to see the amusing expressions you made when you slept. He also looked forward to the nights you'd spend against each other.
Akaashi let out a dazed sigh, the thought of being with you for the rest of his life had certainly calmed him. He knew that you would keep his mind off of these silly superstitio--
Yet there was one thing he foolishly overlooked.
That you were also getting ready just rooms away from him.
"(friend's name)! Over here too!" The shutters of a camera followed after the voice, and it caused Akaashi's heart to skip a beat. He couldn't control his gaze as it wanders over to the balcony on the upper-right of him.
It was his (y/n), so beautiful-- almost ethereal that he, for a moment, forgot to breathe.
Just like that, seeing you beaming with the radiance that rivaled the most beautiful of all deities, the ravenette had cast aside every single detail concerning him and embedded into his mind that this day was for the two of you, and no way in hell would he allow things not to go the way you wanted.
From this point on, his priorities lie first with you, so long as you kept your smile, he was willing to sacrifice anything.
However...
In his mind a distant cackle resonated and he flashed back to his previous exchange with Kuroo.
"Listen, the reason why they 'kidnapped' your precious (y/n) is because it's bad luck to see your bride before the ceremony. You don't want anything to mess up your future with her, right? So stop moping around or the flowers will wilt." He was sulking, the bedhead noted, mustering a lop-sided smile.
