You guys are in your third year, so unfortunately our iconic Senpais won't make an appearance.
"Responsibility"
---------------
'Sorry Tobio... We're over.' The text displayed.
The gymnasium was quiet, too quiet. It was unnatural for the Boys' Volleyball Club to display such a situation. It was short-lived however, when a certain blond skyscraper entered the place in search of the setter.
"Oi, King." Tsukishima called, earning Kageyama's agitated attention, the emotion slowly turned into irritation at the sight of the blond-haired megane's face.
Kageyama snarled, "What the hell do you want?" He glared, earning an equally as menacing stare from the taller male. "Where's my little sister?" Tsukishima asks, crossing his arms against his chest.
The ravenette raised a brow, "So she isn't with you?"
Tsukishima sighed and shook his head, digging into his tracksuit pocket before fishing out a pregnancy test and chucking it towards the setter's direction.
Kageyama caught the device in his hands, eyes widening when he discovered what it was. Additionally, he was more shocked to see that it had tested positive. The ravenette raised his head, "Is this....?" He trailed off, leaving Tsukishima to fill in the blank for him.
"She's pregnant. You're her boyfriend. Take responsibility and go find her." Tsukishima mutters, walking past him, heading over to Yamaguchi-- who was watching the scene unfold, eyes as wide as saucers.
Your older brother, Stingy-- Tsukishima, had long accepted the fact that you and Kageyama shared mutual feelings of affection for one another. He knew you were responsible enough to take care of yourself, should the inevitable happen.
But he did not expect for you to behave this way, like a runaway bride or whatever. And although Tsukishima hated Kageyama to the core, he wanted nothing more than for you to be happy with someone you desired so passionately. So, he entrusted you to the setter, under various conditions that the author is too lazy to enumerate.
Kageyama stared at the pregnancy test in his hands, an odd lump forming at the back of his throat. His form started to tremble and unbeknownst to the ravenette, the waterworks had started down his face.
He was overjoyed.
"(y-(y/n)!" The third-year setter gasped before dashing out the gymnasium like a madman, whipping out his phone and going to your contact. Fortunately, you had left your location on, which meant he could effortlessly track you down.
So he did.
Meanwhile you were staying over at your best friend; Yachi's house, bawling your eyes out. The blonde wasn't sure of what to do, on one hand she wanted to comfort you and on the other she wanted to cry out to Kageyama for help since he was the origin of this madness.
"What should I do Yachi-Chan? I feel so guilty!" You exclaimed, shaking the terrified girl's shoulders vigorously.
In return, Yachi held both of your hands to stop you from shaking the life fibers out of her before she spoke. "Kageyama-Kun's normally not the type who would handle an issue like this calmly..." She points out, causing you to sob even harder.
Your (e/c) orbs were already red and puffy from the waterworks but they wouldn't stop, not since this morning.
"That's my point! I should just change my name and ride off to Seattle! I'm never coming back!" You proclaimed, flailing your arms furiously whilst you waltzed recklessly around Yachi's previously-tidy quarters.
"...Never coming back huh?" A new voice interrupted, dangerously low and hoarse.
You yelped, stopping dead in your tracks, conveniently stopping by the door where Kageyama was, only 5 feet away.
"K-Kageyama-Kun!" Yachi squeaks, standing up to greet death. You, on the other hand, would not bring yourself to look at you ex-boyfriend, your guilt and anxiety building up. Or maybe that was another fun trip to the bathroom.
Moments later you felt a hand rest on top of one of your shoulder blades, it could only be your boyfriend but you were surprised to see Yachi. She was trembling but her eyes somewhat gave off the feeling of reassurance.
'Talk to him' She mouthed, pushing you gently towards the door.
Perhaps she was just being a supportive friend or she finally found a reason to kick you out of her home before you could cause any more chaos.
Either way, you were certain of your impending doom.
"K-Kag--" He stared coldly at you for not using his first name, but that only lasted for a fraction of a second when he saw tears building up in the corners of your eyes. He instantly tore his gaze and was first to take his exit.
"I'll wait for you outside." He calmly muttered and disappeared.
You turned to look at your blonde-haired female friend one last time. Yachi gave you a thumbs-up as a sign of motivation, and you nodded as thanks before following Kageyama out the door.
The two of you did not stop walking until you reached the park. You beckoned him to sit with you on one of the benches but he insisted to stand, that gave you an impression that he was going to run away when you told him the news.
The air felt suffocating, tight against your throat as you mustered up the courage to speak to him. Yet to no avail, you stopped talking every time you made eye contact with him.
Until Kageyama had enough and decided he was going to be the one to break the news to you.
"I know about it..." He flushed when you stared up at him with enlarged, doe eyes. "T-The baby-- I mean." He muttered, much to your surprise, he didn't look as if he was going to bolt out of your life any second from now.
In fact, you were convinced he wasn't going to leave you when he knelt down do take you into his embrace. "Please don't leave me." Kageyama's voice cracked and your heart couldn't help but ache at the thought that he was saddened by your actions from earlier.
"Not you too."
Once again, tears worked their way down your beautiful face, and you muffled your sobs by snuggling into Kageyama's chest.
"So you're not mad?" You sniffled, struggling to speak. Kageyama pulled away, staring at you in bewilderment. "Why would I get mad? It's mine right?" He asked so casually. Your face flushed a deep red but you nodded to confirm.
The ravenette snickered, "Then it's my responsibility too, you're my responsibility." He swore, enveloping you once more.
"I love you, Tobio." You hiccuped, kissing his collar, to which he returned by planting a soft yet passionate peck on your lips. "I love you (y/n). Forever, always, until our next life."
It was silent for a moment before a laugh escaped your lips, a hysterical one at that. Kageyama exploded into a red fit at your reaction, "W-WHAT?!" He screamed, out of habit.
"That's so cheesy Tobio." You pretended to cringe, poking his side.
Kageyama scoffed and crossed his arms against his chest, standing back up again. "Well I'm not the one who referenced Heathers even in such an emotional state!" He retaliated.
