"Poppy!?" Branch called out, checking in every cage for his friends.
"Cooper!? Prince D!? Trollex!?"
There was no reply from any of them.
Branch lowered his head, as his ears drooped, beginning to lose hope.
Molly noticed, and went to pick him up off the ground.
"It'll be ok, Branch," she said softly, as he sat down in her hands.
"They're gone..." he said, softly. "We're too late..."
He covered his eyes with his hands, beginning to cry.
Molly looked down at him, not knowing what to say. She still had hope that they were ok, but they had looked almost everywhere, and there was still no sign of them.
"I'm sorry, Branch," she finally said, softly.
"Let's just get out of h..." he paused, looking up in shock, as his ear twitched.
Quickly, he jumped to his feet, looking around.
"What's wro..."
"Shhhh!" Branch shushed, firmly.
He moved both his ears around, listening closely.
"Help!" he suddenly heard in a far away voice. He gasped, looking off in the direction it had come from.
"Poppy..." he whispered. "She's this way! Hurry!"
He jumped out of Molly's hands, running towards the cries for help, Molly following close behind.
