"Help!"
"Those poor kids!"
"Where are the heroes?!"
Screams and heeds of civilians echoed around the busy street. Some were crying, while some were hurriedly contacting a hero agency or the police force. The scene that unfolded before them was truly terrifying.
The once semi-busy street now seemed empty, the cars that once stood on it had driven to the side, giving space to the school bus that was speeding its way through. The people inside the cars didn't want the bus to barrel into them since their vehicle was much smaller compared to the size of a bus.
The situation was already bad, and it only became worse when they found out the bus had children in it.
No one wanted to risk the lives of the kids who didn't even seem to fully understand the dire situation they were in.
Sat on the driver's seat was a guy whose mind was in shambles. It was obvious that he was not the original driver of the bus. Said driver was already out of commission, laying unconscious on one of the seats. The kids' teacher was pushed outside of the bus earlier.
The verdict grinned widely, knowing that he was about to accomplish his plan: driving this bus into the river. What he did not realize was the panicked calls of the civilians on the streets turning into cheers.

Today was an uneventful day, Fumiko concluded. She had been patrolling on the streets for an hour and she was yet to encounter a villain nearby. Not even a mere thief was present.
'Maybe I should just call it a day and drop by at McDonald's.' She pondered, tapping her finger on her cheek as she continued to walk.
"Hey, Fury!" A voice called out, causing the woman to stop on her tracks and turn around.
At the other side of the street was a man with long blue hair, sporting a smile that could make women fall onto their knees.
Fumiko was an exception though, the guy wasn't her type. It's not like she dated people anyway, she was always too busy with hero work.
Said man was Jackson Williams, also known as Glitch, the hero who captured the hearts of many and also ranked number eight in the country.
Fumiko crossed her arms, staring towards the man with a bored gaze.
"Wait for me!" Jackson yelled before hurriedly crossing the street, raising a hand towards the cars and signaling them to stop.
The woman rolled her eyes, knowing that the guy could've simply used his quirk and teleported to the other side of the street instead of jay-walking.
Jackson skipped towards the woman, finally making his way to her side.
"You do know that you technically just committed a crime, right?" Fumiko spoke as she continued to walk, now with Jackson following after her.
"No. Technically, I am the law." Glitch boasted, pressing his hand onto his chest dramatically as he continued with his statement.
"Sure you are, Vanellope von Schweetz." Fumiko teased, her lips forming a small smirk as she referenced the small cartoon character. Jackson was practically another version of the little racer, the two basically had the same ability.
