Hanako walked to school alone the next morning, texting Denki that she had to 'Bring Kenji to school today'. She didn't like lying, especially to her best friend, but she didn't feel like talking at all today. Honestly, she just wanted to fade away as much as possible.

She sighed as she reached for her cigarettes. She got one out of the package, wrapped her lips around it and lit it. She let the warm smoke fill her lungs.

You shouldn't even be here.

Hanako rubbed her eyes, her dark circles were covered in makeup, but it couldn't hide the puffiness of her lids or the redness on the white of her eyeballs.

She didn't sleep at all last night. She hadn't close an eye for even five minutes. Hanako had just stared at the ceiling for hours, wondering about who her real father was. Why nobody told her before. Why it was her fault.

You shouldn't even be here.

The words had echoed in Hanako's head since they left her mother's lips. Maybe it was true, she shouldn't be here. Her mom didn't want her to be here, her dad obviously didn't either, so why did she even bother to exist?

She took another drag and blew out the smoke into the air. Her cigarette was almost fully smoked up. She took one last drag before discarding it into the gutter, quickly putting her foot on and twisting until it burnt out.

You shouldn't even be here.

When she turned the corner to the gates of the school, she forced her wings to perk up and shine brighter. That soon faltered as a mass group of reporters and journalists were blocking her way to the school, a woman with brown hair spoke up. "What do you think of All Might as a teacher?" She practically yelled into the girl's face.

She drew a deep breath, closing her eyes briefly until she exhaled. "Get out of my fucking way."

The woman's face fell as she slowly stepped aside, making way for Hanako to pass.

Hanako straightened her wings again and proceeded to walk towards the big building. She made her way to the classroom, plastering a fake smile on her face as she entered.

You shouldn't even be here.

"Shimura!" Mina exclaimed, running her way. "Are you okay? You almost freaking died! It was really empowering, though!" The pink skinned girl flashed her a cheesy grin.

Hanako's expression matched hers. "Thanks, Mina. I'm alright, recovery girl made sure of it." Ojiro, Kirishima and Denki had also taken their time to come her way.

"Hey, Shimura, you were pretty manly yesterday, y'know? Continuing even though you were hurting." Kirishima gushed, clashing his hardened fists together. Hanako returned him a grateful smile.

Ojiro spoke up, Denki playing with his tail. "I'm sorry i couldn't help you, but hey, we won, thanks to your quick thinking!" He patted her shoulder lightly, which made her chuckle.

"You couldn't have helped me anyways, Ojiro. The only reason Todoroki even survived that heat was because of his quirk. I'm glad you didn't come save me, you could have died." She explained, before Denki spoke up to her.
