The few weeks before the sports festival passed in no time. Hanako had trained her ass off, passing her limits over and over again. It made for a good distraction of everything, but today, she seemed more on edge than ever.

"I wish i could wear my suit." Mina sighed, peeling at the fabric of her gym uniform.

Ojiro stood next to her in the waiting room, stretching his arms. "To keep everything fair, we can't." He informed, turning to the girl.

She slowly nodded, her mouth forming into an 'o' shape.

"Everyone! Are you ready?!" Iida yelled from the doorway, "We will be entering soon!"

"Stop being so loud, walmart sonic." The winged girl commented, tightening the laces on her shoes. She watched closely as Todoroki made his way to the green haired boy in the middle of the room.

"Midoriya." He spoke, staring down at his smaller frame intimidatingly.

The boy innocently turned to face him. "Todoroki? What is it?"

"Looking at things objectively, I think I'm stronger than you." His tone was colder than the ice half of his own quirk.

Hanako rolled her eyes, "Jesus, how cocky can somebody get?" She mumbled to herself.

Midoriya seemed taken aback by the tall boy's comment, his eyes scanning the ground. "Y-yeah.."

"But..." Todoroki narrowed his eyes at him, "All Might has his eye on you, doesn't he? I'm not tyring to pry about that, but i'm going to beat you." He said, a blank expression resting on his face.

"Oh?" Denki commented, "Is the best of the class making a declaration of war?"

Kirishima had already stood up, walking over to Todoroki and putting a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, hey, why are you picking a fight all of the sudden? Not now, we're about to start!"

The multiple quirked boy shook his shoulder, forcing the redhead to remove his grip. "We're not here to play at being friends." He said, turning around and making his way out. "So what does it matter?"

"Todoroki, i don't know what you're thinking when you say you'll beat me, but of course you're better than me." Midoriya admitted, his eyes still focused on the floor. "I think you're more capable than most people, looking at it objectively."

Kirishima shot the boy a sympathetic smile, "Midoriya, you probably shouldn't talk so negatively-..."

The green haired boy seemed to ignore his comment, "But, everyone... the students of the other courses are aiming for the top with everything they've got!" The small looking guy clenched his fists. "I can't afford to fall behind." He finally looked up again, staring directly into Todoroki's eyes with determination. "I'll be going for it with everything i have, too."
