Hurt Part 2

So,with a final burst of strenght and determination he attacked Bane and knocked him out, he then tied him up and sent him to Arkham. But that was it, with his last strength he activated the emerency signal ( he had done this before when he was battling but there was no response) hoping that this time it would reach someone and then closed his eyes...

------Wayne Manor-------
Everything was ready for the party and now they were deciding on who should call Dick. They finally decided that it should be Bruce for he was the only one other than Alfred that wouldn't prank him. But Bruce had forgotten his phone in the Batcave so whilst everyone waited for him he quickly went there to get it.

It was next to the Batcomputer but what Bruce saw almost  made his heart stop. Nightwing had sent more than 20 calls in those 2 days to each of them and Bruce knew that Dick wouldn't send all those calls for help for nothing. And just as he was about to contact him he saw Nightwing's emergency signal. This was not good. He quickly got Nightwing's location and ran upstairs to the Manor.

When Bruce came every single one of the bats knew what his face meant. Something horrible had happened. No one questioned Bruce until all of them were suited up and in the Batmobile.

After an awkward silence Red Hood finally asked,"Batman what's going on?"

Instead of replying Bruce played all of Nightwing's transmissions,partly because he wanted to know what had happened and partly because he was sure taht if he talked he would probably start crying because when Nightwing's emergency signal had been activated he had seen his health monitor and it wasn't good.

So all of the bats listened to their brothers transmissions in silence. When they learned he had been fighting Bludhaven's craziest villains they were just a bit more relaxed because they knew he could take them but all of that relaxation changed when one of his last transmissions started,it was to Batman:

"B I've been trying to reach all of you for hours and none of you have been picking up. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm not sure I can handle this. I thought I could do it but all the villains in Bludhaven has teamed up and- oh come on! Did you know Joker,Bane and Slade have broken out of Arkham and they also teamed up against me.I know you probably aren't going to see this but I have to try. "

When he mentioned Bane,Slade and Joker all together all of the bat's faces visibly paled. They all knew hiw hard it was to just beat one of those villains but 3 of them combined? How had Nightwing beat them,or had he?

They thought that there couldn't be anything worse but then the next transmission started,but something was wrong with his voice.It was like he was struggling to breathe:

"So by now I know that you probably aren't getting this but I still have to have hope.Because honestly that's the only thing keeping me going right now. Joker captured me and tortured me for 3 hours I think but I guess I was lucky cause once Bane and Slade came in the room they started fighting and I managed to get out. I was able to catch Joker so I sent him back to Arkham.

Bane just shot Slade claiming that he wanted to be the one to end me so now it's just me and Bane. I've sent all the other villains of Bludhaven to jail and Joker to Arkham. Slade is probably dead or unconscious I don't know.I just want you to know that I probably won't make it out of this fight so I just want to say that I love all of you guys.So now I have to go,bye everyone!"

They were all stunned.Dick had managed to send all of Bludhaven's villains to jail and then fought against Joker with who knows how many injuries and won. They all felt really guilty. They should have been there for him. Just as they were thinking those they arrived at Nightwing's location and what they found was even worse than he had told them in the transmissions.

He had blood all over him and he was lying in a pool of his own blood. There were bruises visible on every inch of his skin and his left ankle looked broken. His wrist was also probably fractured. He also looked like he had broken ribs. And that was only the visible injuries he had. For a moment they all just stood there,Batman was the first to take action.He swiftly took Dick in his arms and Dick whimpered .Their hearts all broke when they heard that sound come from him because they knew that Dick would hide his pain as much as he could and now,if he was showing it then that meant that it probably hurt really much.

They arrived at the Batcave in record time and Alfred started tending to his injuries. Some were so bad that even Alfred had trouble.

------ a few hours later ---------
Dick woke up to see his whole family and Babs sitting in chairs all around his bed,they all seemed to be sleeping. Jason had his feet on his bed while Damian's head was on Tim's shoulder. Bruce was right next to Dick and Babs was on his other side.

When they saw he had woken up there was a weird silence.And then they all tried to hug him at the same time even Damian.

Dick was probably the happiest he had been in a long time. He was with his family,they were all together amd most important of all they all felt guilty and they wanted to make it up to him. And that meant Dick would get as many cuddles as he wanted...
