"Alright. So, uh. This is what I have so far." my Boss says, pointing to the whiteboard behind him. I was dazing off. At Tom. I jump out of my thoughts, when my Boss yells at me.
"CURRALL!" I shake my head and blink rapidly.
"Yes sir!?" I ask.
"Are you jotting this down?"
"Oh uh . . ." I look down to my notepad. Nothing.
"Yes, uh, yeah I am!"
My Boss shakes his head in disappointment. "Currall, this is your second warning of the month! What's gotten into you lately?'
I sigh and look down at my blank notepad. "Uh . . . I uh . . ." I then think of an excuse. "Personal problems . . ."
After the meeting, I go up to Tom, away from my boss. "Tom! You need to quit!"
"And why do I need to quit?"
"Because! You're making me distracted! What if I get fired?"
"Well, why do I have to quit?" he demands.
"I worked here first!"
"So? I worked here last!"
"Okay?! I don't make money off of YouTube unlike your greedy self!"
He grins. "What can I say? I love gaming."
"Shut up!"
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
"Ugh! I'm sick of your attitude!"
"Ugh, I'm sick of your attitude." he mimmicks.
I glare at him. "I don't like dating childish nerds."
"And I don't like dating adult-y nerds!"
"You know what, Tom? Maybe if your tired of dating me, maybe we should just break up!"
"Fine!"
"Fine!"
