Wilbur started to talk again.

"First of all, there's been a crazy amount of drama with the captains of the guard."

The blonde frowned. "There's only one captain of the guard, doofus."

"No." Wilbur corrected, "I'm talking about the new captain and the one who came before, idiot."

Tommy threw a paper ball at Wilbur, which, with a flick of his hand, was easily deflected by quick magic on his part.

If Wilbur smirked at the sight of Tommy's returned temper, it was not caught on by Tommy.

"You remember, the old guard, yes?" asked Wilbur, casually flipping through pages of the book lying on the circled wooden table beside him. Dust flew flew from both the cover and the table surface.

Tommy nodded slightly.

The old captain of the royal guard was strikingly beautiful and persistent, with a stubbornness that rivaled many.

Coming from a line of nothing but poor fisherman and loyal soldiers, she was an inspiration to the common folk, with a passion for the young ones of her kingdom, often seen as a "Guardian Angel" sent to children all over the land of Dream.

"Well," Wilbur chuckled, "Apparently she ran off with some man a little while ago to the land of the Elfishes."

 Tommy felt his jaw drop.

Lady Puffy Elaine had many starstruck men in awe of her beauty and strength court her before, but her answer had never wavered, no matter what.

She was the most loyal being in the castle to his majesty Clay, and this was something that Tomathy would have never suspected, not even if the waters turned to lava and the clouds to rocks, because it was just the same to Lady Puffy, her answer never changing.

"No man will take me as his bride as long as I'm alive."
