Complicated (Charlie Weasley x reader)

Chapter 37 That's not exactly a good sign

Charlie showed you all around the camp site that day, not missing a single thing in the prosess. He started with the usually aggressive Chinese fireball, except that she was knocked out, and thus could not be her aggressive self. Then he went on to the commonroom Welsh green, who was placed a few meters away from the Fireball, and then the Swedish short-snout. He showed you everything in between, and suddenly you realised it was starting to get dark, but there was one more dragon you still hadn't seen. The worst one of them all, the Hungarian horntail.

You knew quite a lot about Hungarian Horntail's, having studied them after you found out that Charlie had been attacked by one, you know, in case it would happend again, which there seemed to be a high possibility of actually happening. You had to walk a little bit as said dragon was placed a bit further away from the other ones, most likely due to its aggressive nature. Yes, all dragons are generally aggressive, but the Hungarian horntail are known to be slightly worse than the rest, which you got confirmed right at this moment as the dragon violently knocked down all of the four walls of its crate.

The dragon thrashed around, shooting fire at every angle it could reach, almost hitting a few people in the prosess. You got a little startled when Charlie had quickly pushed you to the back, almost knocking you to the ground, but you understood why he had done it when the dragon shot fire in your direction, reaching all the way to where you had been standing just secounds before.

'You ok, (name)?' Charlie asked you, but he kept his eyes on the dragon. You nodded at first, but remembered that he couldn't exactly see from the back of his head and quickly found your voice.

'Yeah... I'm fine.' You dusted of yourself, even thoug you didn't really get anything on you, and straightened up.

While they were bussy with the dragon you could suddenly feel a presence from behind you, and sure enough, when you turned around you saw three shadows in the forest, two unusually big ones and one smaller. Wait... that's Hagrid! You looked back at Charlie and tried to get his attention.

'Charlie, Hagrid's here!' Which sure did get his attention as he quickly shouted to the friendly giant.

'Keep back there, Hagrid! They can shoot fire at a range of twenty feet you know! I've seen this one do forty!' Right after he said that, the dragon had turned her head towards them and shoot fire, almost reaching all the way to where they were standing, which slightly scared you since they were standing much further away than any of you were. In the end, Charlie and the others had takes out their wands and stunned the dragon, though it took six stunning spells simultaniously to get the job done.

You looked at the dragon in awe. Even when the dragon was unconcious you didn't dare walk any closer to it, and it was now you realised that Odin had been nothing compared to this. Compared to this, Odin had been like taming an all ready tamed rabbit.

You looked around yourself, noticing that Charlie had dissapeared from your side, and was now having a small conversation with Hagrid and some other tall lady you had never seen before, but wasn't there a third person? Must have been your imagination. You waited until they were done talking, not wanting to intrude, and just looked around. It sure was getting dark, and you still had to get back and report that everything was under control, but you also didn't want to. Not now at least. You were so deep in tought that you didn't register Charlie return to your side, thus giving a small jump when he cleared his throat.

'Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!' He apologized.

'No, it's fine! You didn't scare me, just startled me slightly.' You smiled at him before continiuing. 'So what did Hagrid want?'

'Oh, he said he only wanted to have a look at the dragons, but by the looks of it, it did seem more like he was helping the Beauxbatons cheat... I'm suprised he didn't bring Harry if that was the deal.' You gave a small chuckle.
