(Name)

I'm fine. Cody's with me, and we are both in hiding, I won't say where in case this letter doesn't get to you, but we are alive. Don't come looking for us!

C.H.

You felt a big sense of relief wash over you as you read the letter once more. Connie hadn't been sendt to Azkaban! She isn't safe, but at least she's out there somewhere, and together with Cody! You were so relieved you would have fallen to your knees hadn't Charlie been there to hold you up.

'She's ok...' You breathed out, holding tightly on to Charlie. 'She's ok.'

Charlie brought you into a tight hug, your head against his chest, and his head on top of yours, his hand gently stroking your hair. Neither of you said anything for a while.

You could hear the rain hitting the ground outside the broken window, though it didn't really bother you. You actually found it quite soothing, kind of like a fresh start. Yes, Connie was still out there, somewhere, hiding from the death eaters and people alike, and she would stay that way for a while, maybe years, who knows? Unless you fought back. Unless everyone fought back.

'Charlie?' You spoke up, getting the attention of said man.

'Yeah?'

'Could you learn me how to cast a patronus?'

*****

Months had passed by, but things had only gotten worse, both in the wizarding world, and the muggle world. It was truly horrible. Even when you were back at the dragon sanctuary things were horrible, as muggleborns were fleeing even back there. It was sad, really. Many of the workers had dissapeared, including your boss, Mr Balan, was no where to be found, and had been replaced by some mean old man that went by the name of Xerxes Von Helen. He had balding, grey hair that seemed like it once was black, and some of the darkest eyes you had ever seen. He was also quite tall, making him seem a lot more threatening than he probably was, though you were pretty sure he was a supporter of you-know-who by the way he always seemed to be in a better mood each time he heard about a muggleborn being caught.

You almost considered quitting your job, but constantly reminded yourself that this wouldn't last for ever. Someone would put a stop to this, and Mr Balan would return, together with everyone else that had gone into hiding. Someone would stop the wicked man- no, being, and make this all end!

At least that was what you told yourself.

What you could comfort yourself with was that the work itself hadn't changed. Though a thing that did change was that you finaly got better at duelling. Somehow, after Charlie started teaching you the patronus charm, you suddenly understood duelling much better, and even beat Charlie a few times as well, which was a major confidence boost. You started feeling like, if the death eaters attacked, you could do something about it. Maybe not completly stop them, but you could fight back without dying right away. Charlie too seemed to relax more and more as you got better, him probably being scared that you would have died if you got ambushed.

As for the wedding, you had chosen to wait a bit. Maybe things would get better in a few months? What also made you delay it was that Charlie's brother, Ron, was no where to be found, and even though Ron could be a bit... grumpy, in the loss of a better word, he still wanted his youngest brother to attend it. There was also the thing with Connie, as you knew if you got married, and Connie wasn't there, you would never hear the end of it, thus making you both agree to wait with the wedding. You also had this small fear that if you went trough with it, the death eaters would crash it, and completly ruin it like they did with Bill and Fleur's, so yup, wait you would. Either way, the months went by, maybe not that fast, but at least the time hadn't completly stopped.
