It all happened so fast. The protection charms around the house suddenly broke, a lot of people dissapparated, and the death eaters came in from everywhere.

Charlie quickly pushed you behind him before he shouted- "Leave now, while you can!"

But how could you? You couldn't leave him to take care of this! What if something happened? You pulled out your own wand and placed yourself next to him.

"I'm not leaving you here!" You said, making the man tense. You could see he wanted to protest, but it was already too late.

You were surrounded by death eaters, and you, who never really were any good at duelling, got overpowered immediately. Luckily for everyone, they didn't seem to be there to kill anyone, only wanting to know where the boy who lived was.

They asked a lot of questions, also asking everyone that was there, going from person to person, demanding to know everything they knew. Though even with everything going on, there was only one thing you could focus on as you saw your dear cousin, Alexander, standing there with the death eaters, and treathening the Weasleys.

You kept your eyes on him, observing everything he did, feeling only betrayal. He was a part of the order, and he had been working for you-know-who this whole time? Your body felt numb, and as your eyes met Alex's you could have sworn he too, froze for a secound, but he quickly turned in the other direction. You could feel anger rising up inside you, and hadn't Charlie's family been in danger, you would have hexed the sh*t out of the man, but you couldn't. You could only watch as he interrogated Molly and Ginny for the secound time since they got here.

You had been questioned by a reather burly death eater for about an hour now. You didn't tell him anything, and could see the frustration rising in him, but really, you couldn't have cared less. You were just too angry about the whole thing that you almost didn't notice when the death eater raised his wand, and was about to attack you, but something stopped him, or rather someone.

"Stop, I don't think she knows anything." Alex said, holding the man's wand arm, but refused to meet your gaze.

"Then I'll just crucio this b*tch, and we'll really know!" The man ripped his arm out of Alex's grip, and got ready to strike you, but then he lowered his wand. "Wait... you care for the girl, don't you?" The burly man had a twisted smile on his face, one that would have sent shivers down your spine, had you not been so angry.

"That's got nothing to do with this, let's just search the house instead, there's bound to be something there, and if there is, I'll let you do whatever you want." Alex said, still not looking at you. The death eater chuckled, then turned around, and made a gesture to the other death eaters for them to follow him into the house. Molly was about to protest, but Arthur stopped her, afraid of what they would do to her if she interfered.

You were rudely pushed to the side by the one that interrogated you, though you never hit the ground as Charlie caught you in his arms, and pulled you closer to him in a protective manner.

The death eaters searched everywhere inside the Burrow, not being afraid to break anything in the prosess. They worked their way trough the whole house, until they reached Ron's room, and found what you believed to be their family ghoul, that had been transfigured to look like Ron sick with spattergroit, which was good, since when they saw his diseased condition they left the house in fear of getting the disease themselves.

"We'll leave for now, but don't think this is the last time you'll see us." One of the death eaters threatened. They got ready to leave, but the one who interrogated you stopped, and turned to you.

"I do believe I owe you something." He said as he raised his wand, pointing it at you again, but Charlie pulled you behind him.

Charlie stared at the man, almost dearing him to try, but the man only smiled wider before he shot a spell at Charlie.

You could hear Molly scream as Charlie fell several feet back, and you rushed to his side, helping him sit up again.

"That should remind you to respect those more powerful than you." The man said before they left. You gave a harsh stare where the man had been standing, but soon turned your attention to Charlie.

"Are you ok? You should have just let him hit me." You said while looking all over Charlie to check if he had some kind of wound.

"You really think I would just let someone hit you?" Charlie said, but you could hear he had some trouble catching his breath, so you shushed him, and told him to take it easy. Molly too rushed over to look at her son, and was relieved that he turned out all right.

You helped Charlie up from the ground, and inside the house so he could rest in a chair, while you helped the others put everything back together.

The house looked a mess. The chairs had been flipped over, some even broken, every drawer had been ripped out, their content laying all over the floor, flowerpots had been broken, bookshelf emptied, Molly's yarnbasket had been kicked, it just looked horrible, but luckily you had magic, making the cleaning prosess not take too long, though it had turned very late by the time you finished.

"Please stay for the night." Molly started. "It's so late, and I don't want you two getting lost, especially you, Charlie! You just got attacked, and have been drinking!"

Charlie mumbled something about being fine by now, but you ended up staying for the night, as Molly did have more than one point.

It was now three AM, but you couldn't sleep. The whole day had just been too much for you, and you hadn't been able to prosess all that had happened. First the whole wedding, then Charlie proposed, then the ministry falling and the death eaters coming, and finally Charlie being attacked while protecting you, that last one really hitting you hard. What if it had been the killing curse? You tried so hard not to think about it, but you couldn't help it.

You got up from the bed, and walked out of Ginny's room, as it was no use laying there wide awake anyway. You made your way to the kitchen, which didn't take long as Ginny's room is on the first floor, and found something you could drink. You looked out the window in the kitchen, and noticed it was getting lighter outside, but the sun hadn't started rising just yet. It was actually kinda peaceful being alone, but that didn't last too long as you felt a hand on your shoulder.

"Oh f*cking h*ll... you scared me!" You whisper-shouted as you turned around and saw that it was Charlie.

"Sorry, I couldn't resist!" He gave a short laugh, and you slapped his hand away.

"Why are you up anyway?" You asked, turning to watch the sun rise outside the window.

"I couldn't sleep, and I guess that's why you're up too?" Charlie stepped closer to you, putting his head in the crook of your neck, and held his arms around you from behind.

"Yeah."

Neither of you said anything for a while, and just enjoyed eachothers company, watching as the sun started to rise over the horizon.

"(Y/n)." Charlie quietly said, gaining your attention.

"Mmmh?"

"You know... I was serious." Charlie started, but didn't say anything else.

"About what?" You finally asked, not being too sure what he was talking about. Charlie didn't say anything so you turned around to face him, only to see him smiling. "About what?" You asked again, this time a little less patient.

"About you marrying me." You felt your breath get stuck in your throath again, but not in a bad way. "So what do you say?" Charlie asked when you didn't respond.

"I... " But you couldn't utter any other sounds, so Charlie took your hand in his.

"You don't have to give me an answer right now, I get it, a lot has happened, and it's not an easy desicions to-" But you stopped his rambling by pressing your lips to his, which he immediatley reacted to by kissing you back.

You brought your hands up to his hair, giving it a light tug, while he pulled you closer to him, but you soon broke apart.

"Yes." You said, still barley touching his lips, and Charlie smiled wider.

"Yes, what?" You knew Charlie was teasing you, but chose to play along for once.

"Yes, I'll marry you."
